Titanfall

So anyone managed/bothered to get a beta code for this xbox one or pc?
I've registered for both but nothing back yet

With the possible exception of Plants V Zombies : Battlefield Edition (would depend on how the ingame payment system is used), I'm avoiding EA games.

Same here , no Beta code received

I ended up complaining to an ea/origin advisor saying I'd registered but not received a key yet and I was given one there and then!

Yeah , i got given one by a friend but half an hour later mine turned up so i dully passed on the good will and forwarded to another without a code .

And hell yeah its the dogs danglies , really enjoying .

Its a cool game but 4 days to test a Beta is just plain stupid and they shopuld have kept this open ended until release of the game.

Having said that its a hell of a lot of fun and i really like it,ships with 13 online maps apparently and hopefully a few opther modes.......Horde would be cool

I keep forgetting to try it, is the beta still open? I am going to get on it after work if so!

Hey T2D where you been at?! Not seen you post for a couple of weeks.

I'm retiring mate lack of activity on these forums and I need a Gaming fix and discussion ..

Beta finishes Wednesday so you have basically 24 hours unless they extend it by a day.

After playing it I have to say it's justified my purchase of a Xbox One and I was beginning to have serious doubts about doing so.

Not played a lot to be honest and when I have it's been the Ninitendo Wii U and Zelda and the Metroid Prime trilogy that I got from CEX.

Have a nice Astro A50 gaming headset though,just needs unboxing and setting up....feel kind of cheated that they release new consoles with limited to no support for the expensive headsets we all have already.

But I guess it's just another way of making another load of money,because that would have been so easy for a firmware fix to support the Bluetooth headsets.

Was going to get the £79.99 new Sony Gold Wireless headset ,but it's sort of got average reviews and is very cheap looking and very plastic that looks like it could break very easily.

As for here Jaxx then after 10 years of trying to post and make it a interesting forum I got slightly fed up and took time of from here and hoped other would contribute more,sadly that don't seem like the case with just the loyal few posting on occasions .

Don't know why it's like this and why it doesn't seem to get more posts,especially when the new consoles released it was still very very quiet on here.

I like to talk about Gaming and I've done more than my fair share on here and thought it's about time others got more involved and made some contributions .

I may post more I may not,I appreciate I have more time than most and I guess that's why I repeat myself so much as there is no activity on here.

You see thats my exact point Jaxx,you have noted that i have not been on here for the past few weeks so you are obviously logging in but then don't really have anything to say or post hence a dead gaming forum.

Yeah Nelly I look at the App everyday ( unlike some ) and have answered matey....


Think it's got some bugs and flaws because it would have a small circle around the App like a missed phone call on a phone but now that's all but disappeared .

Save your money Nelly because you are going to require a Xbox One,Titanfall has relighted my passion for gaming and I just can not get enough of this game.

Don't ask me why as it's very much like Cod which in all honesty I have completly gone of,but it seems fresh and new and a different kind of FPS experience which is highly addictive .

The Titans are well cool,the weapons and perks and sounds seem spot on ,and the 2 maps in the beta are also well designed.

Can not wait until March 11 to get the full Monty ,take it from me Nelly this game alone is worth the expense of a Xbox One so go sell the Grandmother ,yes it's that good.

Got a Wii U title on its way ..Donkey Kong ,then next week Plants V Zombie Garden Warfare and Thief on the Playstation 4.

Then we got Titanfall and boy oh boy how me and Jorkilla are going to make you so so jealous that you will beg steal ,borrow and I'm betting you will just have to invest.

I'm sure this game will have you really excited and will be right up your street,oh and one more thing,the bouncing around the maps and double jumping with spot on aiming very much like Unreal and Quake......Bo Selecta ....He heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

My thoughts exactly, feels alot like the early cod games but with all the extra cool stuff!
Absolutely loving it and pleased I chose to get the Xbox one first!

Nah, I'm saving up for something with a bit more grunt.

I still use my 360 and Laptop more than my XB One and will get a PS4 in the summer as its obvious which platform performs best for cross platform games .

The XB One is all about exclusives and i do wonder how long microsoft can keep that up with their poor sales figures .

But i catch your drift��.We all know the Playstation 4 is more powerful and seems to have the better frame rate and the fact they run at 60fps and 1080p unlike the One,but this game is really addictive and its the games that are going to matter isn't it.

quite frankly though Killa without this there would not be a single reason to pick this unit against a playstation 4.

March is the time when next generation gaming starts though so bring it on and regardless of what platform has exclusives��..Im laughing as i have them all .

Looks like I'm going to need some serious practice based on your play and your sons this evening,obviously kills don't seem to win many prizes but capturing the spots do.

Only finished above you two once in about 4 games,i won't tell you what i was feeling when the scoreboard revealed itself at the end of each game with those jorkila guys above old timer trancematic.

Sorry about not been able to chat and i feel that we may have to wait until March 11th now before our next gaming session if this finishes tomorrow.

Only future game I care for is Watch Dogs right now I think. There are games I'm interested in like that Destiny one and the Precinct one and ESO but I can live without them all except maybe Watch Dogs if it turns out to be the danglies.

Though it will be a minority view and a meh one at that, I couldn't really care for Titanfall at all I don't think.

To be honest mate, even if I could afford an XBone I wouldn't buy one. I just wouldn't have the inclination to learn to like the controller. Same with the PC. I have played the guitar for years and have now started to learn lead guitar with my original tutor. As far as "keys" go, that's already enough for me to comprehend!

I do love the look of Titanfall, but with my connection history and the fact that it is a competitive online only affair, I'm not too bothered about missing out. With my current guitar commitments, I haven't touched the PS4 for weeks other than to set the kids up on Lego Marvel Super Heroes (which looks great fun by the way ).

I myself haven't done much gaming either apart from the last few days with Titanfall,i can not be bothered half of the time and end up watching television or mucking about with iPad,don't know if thats me going of gaming or the lack of any decent games,probably a mixture of both.

Yeah each to there own but i was highly impressed with how Titanfall played out but it to could become something that i discard for something else pretty easily i guess.

Just hope its got far more game modes and download content because that is a little restricted based on the Beta.

And Watchdogs is the game I'm looking forward to most this year along side Infamous second son.

So I downloaded the Titanfall beta last night.... wow what a game! It's like playing an FPS all over again, it's brilliant. It is something completely different to everything else on the market. It's like a mixture of Halo, Battlefield and the original COD.

I really enjoy running up the walls and bouncing off all over the place. In my first game I took out loads of humans but only one titan, in my second game I managed to take down 5 titans. It's fast paced and hectic at points but you never feel that you are out of your league. Perhaps because it's new everyone is on a level playing field but I played 4 games in the end and each one I was really happy with my kills and I thought I pulled off some cool moves.

Really looking forward to seeing the the full abilities of the Titans, I have only used the one with the minigun and the one with the rocket launchers at the moment but they were great.

Just realised I didn't reply to your post about where you have been either. It is true this forum is on the quiet side, but then it's mainly a broadband forum and the gaming part is just an additional add on. I am a member of 360 Achievements and a couple of other gaming forums where there is a huge community, so I guess it depends what you want from the forum.

I haven't posted that much here myself recently either as I haven't had a lot of new games. Got the Titanfall Beta last night but that ends today. My next big purchase is going to be RYSE as it's on offer for the next week @ £32.99 and I am also going to buy Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare when that is out next week.

So expect to hear more from me over the next couple of weeks!

Jaxx pleas don't buy Ryse and waste your money,you will be bored with that game within 30 minutes,plants v zombies I have on order and you would be wiser next week buying the new Thief game and not Ryse.

I know you got far more patience than me with games and don't buy so many but i doubt Ryse will meet even your expectations and if you really wanted that game you would have bought it with your Xbox One.

Your thoughts on the Titanfall beta if you get a few hours on it will be interesting ,personally myself Kila ,and Bert think it's pretty special

Yeah it ignited my passion for FPS once again even though it has all the hallmarks of previous Infinity Ward games but with a difference .

So come March 11th headset for chat at the ready , yourself, kila and son,Bert and myself will crew up and go Mech bashing.

Just wish it was at least 2 weeks as 6 days is pretty poor,remember the original MW beta went on for about 6 weeks .

been rinsing the beta and its a great game , easy to play , hard to master .

The movement mechanics of the pilot are just sublime , once you start thinking vertically instead of just horizontally , i will warn you now that i see a real skills gap appearing between those that master the pilots movement mechanics and those that try and play it like every other FPS .

Finding routes across maps and using the pilots movement is wining me and my buddys big and clearing out the lobby of opposing players that just cant deal with attacks coming from every direction and so soon after spawning in to the game .

You can traverse the map so quickly using wall running and double jumps and at ridiculous speeds , i do see there being some problems once people master these skills against those that don't .

Anyway back to World of Tanks and something much slower in pace , whilst i wait for this game to be released .

Yeah i can see certain people mastering some of the game modes and team work dominating matches.

I had a quick couple of matches this evening and i dare say that will be the last until release as i expect the beta to be finished sometime this evening and i will then delete it.

Beta finishes at 2am Thursday morning, its more of a demo then a beta as its very polished.

Been playing for many years, but I want to learn some advanced technique and chord theory.

That's why I haven't picked up tomb raider yet but I will. Then if I manage to give the time to that, I will likely pick up Second Son. The thing is, the only games I have completed on PS4 are Killzone Shadowfall and Knack. Knack because it's an easy to pick up and drop button basher, and KZ because it is the best looking console game ever, bar none. I haven't played more than the first level on Ghosts or BF4 and don't feel moved to do so to be honest.

So the point being, single player seems like it is where it's at for me right now but I need to find the time to dedicate to campaigns, what with still trying to be the next Peter Green and all.

Oh well looks like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze on the Wii U today then.

No you won't you will get Plants like you just mentioned and then you will get Titanfall and then more than likely some other EA funded game later on in the year.

For a start EA don't have anything that interests me aside from the Plant V Zombie : Thistle Edition, and with the rather problematic launch of Battlefield 4, I don't think quality is now something EA knows the meaning of.

Indeed - the last Bond game was okay (although the driving sections, whilst graphically very nice, was poorly designed). And of course, the climatic finish ended up as a climatic finish...

You could say it was a Bland game...

Been watching a few Plants V Zombies : Gardner's World videos, and it does look good - would all depend on how the in-app system will be implemented : Will it be like BF3 where it isn't needed
, few people know about it and was just silly idea to try and stop people buying hacks; like Tapped Out where it is just a graphical annoyance or like Dungeon Keeper where the only way to progress is to spend lots of money to upgrade...

I think the Xbox One version of this game is around £29.99 so I'm guessing there will be downloadable content at a price knowing greedy EA.

So expect Micro Transactions that I won't be buying that's for sure,in fact I'm not buying any of this seasons passes either unless Killzone Shadowfall has a Horde mode that's mind blowing .

Don't even play that online or Battlefield which is a surprise to me,sort of completely gone of online gaming apart from Titanfall beta with Jorkila and his son,that rekindled my passion even though it's very COD orientated it seemed fresh with new ideas and was one hell of a blast .

It does look as though BF3 is now in a decline - fewer servers seem to be available (or are always empty)...

BF4 is getting traded as I haven't touched it.

Gonna pick up Tomb Raider as you suggested and wait for Killzone Horde mode which I paid for up front, Charlie big potatoes that I am.

Can not go far wrong with Tome Raider mate and i bet you think its really Good.
