Lets just say for the first time in a long time i have never been so pleased with how i feel when playing this game, from the moment you install it and start playing it a few minutes later you know that you have a very well made product just by the intro and the menu system.
Amazing set pieces, visuals to die for and a Seattle looks drop dead gorgeous with so much texture in the map detail and graphics you very rarely see in a open ended action game like Infamous.
Its amazing fun to play with some spectacular visual flair when using your powers, even after 4 hours i only have the basic Smoke power which i have upgraded to the max and have acquired smoke missiles as well as the normal attack and other special moves.
Graphically nothing touches it and i have not had so much fun playing a game in ages and its kind of hard to switch it of which says a lot nowadays .
The explosions and destruction are some of the better effects i have ever seen and they are a joy to use when needed, traversing through the vent system is another super cool feature and the list of how you can get around the map and get out of trouble quicker than you got in it is endless.
If you wanted to pick bones then I'm sure you could by saying its very much take over and destroy areas of the map and some may think that is repetitive .
But its about enjoying the game and experiencing amazing graphics and addictive game play and Infamous Second Son has it all.
If i was a reviewing this game myself and I'm not a fanboy of either console then this game gets a solid Timey 9.5 from me without question.
I can not wait to load it up tomorrow night and spend a little more time with this brilliant action game that has it all.
If you like Prototype and Just Cause then Infamous will blow you away because in looks alone it anyalates the previous 2 titles and is seriously next generation without question.
If your in the market for a playstation 4 and this is your type of game then its time to upgrade..Superb
Oh and i forgot to add the touchpad on the Dual Shock 4 is put to some serious good use with Infamous and works a treat

Tried to pick it up tonight but Asda had sold out. Will have a scout around tomorrow, Sainsbury's perhaps.

You should have pre/ordered it mate from shopto and you would have had it Thursday like me,played it tonight for 5 hours straight and i just have got my second power which i won't talk about .
So that 7 hours give or take a minute and i have just unlocked another power, someone said this game can be finished in 8/10 hours, personally i think its going to take me double that amount of time.
And when i have finished i am going to to it all over again but taking the Evil Choose route and not the good guy which i am playing at present.
Its breathtaking and anyone that has a Playstation 4 has to buy this game, even if its not really your type its a game you have to have in your collection.
Think Supermarket stock will be thin on the ground mate, and with the demise of Blockbusters i think your only other option is high street rip of merchants Game, think it was £54.99 for the basic edition and i basically got the limited edition for that been the Gold Shopto member i am

Corrected that for you! I spent 2k on a guitar though so I can't complain. I knew I wouldn't be able to splash out on games for a while after that, but this is one of the unmissable ones for me. Just wanted to get your thoughts first Magoo, that's why I didn't pre order.

Nice one matey
I say don't hesitate mate ,new generation games have arrived and you will find it hard not to continue playing it for hours, last night i stuck it on at around 8pm and turned it of at 12.30 am and i still wanted to continue playing it.
Now i haven't said or done that with a game since The Last of Us last year and hardly ever the previous 2 years.
Take a trip out today and go to every possible source and try and get it,wait until this evening, fire it up and be in Gaming heaven because this is Masterful and you will have one hell of a great time playing it.
Lots of sport on Today like Aston Villa [yeah i know ? ] the Moto Gp and el Classico Real Madrid v Barcelona so i will be back on playing this thing of beauty later tonight. .
Might even have a quick 60 minutes while cooking Sunday Roast .
Hey and Nelly.Any chance you can read your messages and answer your Playstation App a little quicker rather than a week later .

Will do.
The thing about the App is that it doesn't tell me I have a new message until I open it, which is weird because it used to. Poxy thing.
Yeah we used to get the alert around the App symbol didn't we,bit like the apps on our mobile, now for some strange reason it don't work like you say unless you open the app.
Might delete it and reinstall see if that changes anything.

On a sad note is there only yourself and I running these gaming forums this weekend or what !
I don't know what more can be done to make these gaming forums a more active place,it's a shame because on occasion it's really interesting ,but most the time it's very very quiet with little to no posts on a daily basis .

I don't care what any review says, for a fiver I will happily smash Aliens up, even if its only for one evening.
Oh, and I did manage to find a copy of Second Son so the PS3 won't be getting switched on for a while anyway.

So you going to give it a bash later And the Game I guess

You still have a Playstation 3
Once a new gen comes along I literally dump the older stuff, whenever I have kept hold of them I never seem to have any interest buying games for older hardware regardless if they are only on the older systems.
I look forward to your thoughts Nelly I'm sure you won't be disappointed !apparently there is something in the game called Paper Trails which adds another 5 hours of content and is included in the Infamous update......So they say
Where did you get it from eventually, and what was the actual cost .

Technically the girls now have the PS3's, but other than movies I haven't really turned them on other than for watching movies on the main telly.

£50 is pretty steep for a new game, i remember buying ps2/3 games at £35-40 new, its what puts me off buying games for a console.
Since the game is only a sp, wait a few months and it will be alot cheaper.

Since the game is only a sp, wait a few months and it will be alot cheaper.
And I remember paying £69.99 for Turok Dinosaur hunter on the Nintendo 64 and most games 20 years ago on that system were at least £59.99 so I don't see why there is much to complain about
By the time I get a PS4 the game will be £5
N64 games where always the most expensive, PS1 where far cheaper at £30, £30-40 pounds is about the right price for a game.
SP games will drop in price very quickly and people will look to trade in as well- infamous is worth 25 traded in at game atm.
Every new game is worth £25 once traded a week or so later, thats the standard price for a new game thats half decent or a class product like Infamous Second Son.
Some of the not so good games that get released don't get a value of £25 placed on them like Game and the now none existent Blockbusters.
Everytime i bought a game that came out and i traded it a week or 2 later it was worth £25,give it a few months down the line though and the value drops.

Quite sad really that only just a few of us on here have next generation consoles and the rest are retro gamers .
Guess the older gentlemen that frequent the gaming forums like older consoles

I got £25 for ghosts from game just a month ago which I thought was quite reasonable!

Do you have to join up to any sort of "clubcard" to trade stuff at Game?
No
You don't hold R2 Dummie you swipe up and hold the Touch Pad Button in and then Bash with R2 Button
And take out most of the enemies in the area before you take on the truck and there not indestructible ,use smoke rockets on the tougher ones and use the height of the buildings to your advantage, besides there is plenty of smoke on those roofs for a restock of your powers.

You can get brand new Xbox and PS4 games for £40 online on eBay from most etailers. Or about £45 from Asda, Argos etc. Game usually a little on the pricey side, although saying that I picked up Titanfall for £45 there last week. You get reward points too which make the difference sometimes. It seems every time I trade a game in there and buy another I accrue around £3 to £5 worth of points.
I think I am going to buy my PS4 from Game, it's £385 with Infamous which is the cheapest I have found it elsewhere too and I reckon I will get a good £15+ back in Reward Points.
I don't mind buying from Game to be fair, yea they are a bit expensive sometimes but they just sell games so I give them a break. Plus my local Game store Manager is a really nice guy and is very passionate, so it's worth making the trip there than buying it from a conglomerate
Everytime I go to Asda for a game I end up buying a pack of Red Bull, some cookies / brownies and other junk so ends up costing me more than Game anyway

If you frequented the forum more often i put up a listing 4 days ago especially for you regarding a special promotional deal that Tesco Were doing for the first 5000 customers using the online voucher code i provided in the link.
You could have got a Infamous Second Son Playstation bundle for £349.99.

Haha yea I do go quiet for a few days, I sometimes forget to check or don't get chance to unfortunately
Looks like they are out of stock, but I wasn't going to buy one until this Friday or later anyway so I would have missed it. Would prefer to buy it out of my current account on payday along with a Creamfields ticket (woooo!!) than out of the savings account as then I don't feel guilty for dipping in haha
So your tempted to go down the playstation 4 route this coming Friday then Matey
I'm sure if you do proceed with this and your Infamous bundle you will be really impressed with the Playstation 4 and totally blown away by Infamous Second Son.
But then again if your not into these sort of games then you may or may not have a different take on what I say is awesome ,but I think I'm right in thinking that you enjoy this type of games and I guess you have watched many videos of the game already.
I put loads of Facebook videos of me playing it last night

Hope that didn't come over to confrontational ,I know others don't have the time I have to look at these forums every few hours, you just mentioned the fact you were tempted to get Infamous and the P4 so I thought at the time it was worth posting that link.

I now have the third power which like the other two is pretty awesome ,no spoilers though so I'm not saying what it is but here are plenty of vids out there that will spoil things for you if your that way inclined to find out.

Not confrontational at all mate I really appreciated it, thank you very much just a shame I won't be able to take advantage of it at the weekend!
Yea I love sandbox games and games with super powers and stuff, so it's definitely right up my street which is why I want one so bad now haha. I had my mind set on one.
I try to read as little as possible about games. I generally will look it up on Wiki, read the synopsis, check out some in game features and that's about it. Then I make my decision based on what people post on forums, reviews, video trailers etc
Theirs a ps4 in the house but their are no games that i have wanted to buy for it, only really used for Fifa and a few Lego titles for the youngest sibling.
Not even Killzone or Infamous mate
So here is a recap Benny from Crossroads......swipe up on the touchpad to bring up the reactor, click and hold in the touch pad once it's risen, then use the R2 button to smash it up .
On a serious note,I have been stuck on similar games in the past when the path or solution is starring me square in the face.
Had to revert to YouTube videos and then called myself all sorts of names for been do stupid ,like You Nelly oh and it doesn't say hold R2 it says swipe up and hold ...... and you got the bare faced cheek to call me Timey [ master Gamer] Mr Magoo

Shut up or i will tell my Mom about you

Personally i love the Smoke power the best and love traversing through the vent systems getting to new heights.
And yes you have to hit the R2 button 5 times to smash the generator ,but make sure once you swiped up on the touchpad make sure you.Click it and hold in the touch pad while smashing with R2.Jeez
Yep Ground Zero still has the wrapper on it as i just can not get enough of this Infamous, think i have done around 10 hours at least and I'm 68%.

No its limited choice isn't it,thats what the Share button does on the Playstation 4,uploads the video to Facebook profile unfortunately . rather than a dedicated hosting site or even Youtube .
Gotta be honest, I'm not big on the touchpad on the DS4. It's in a really awkward position for doing this sort of thing. I think I will have to hold the touchpad with my left hand whilst bashing the R2 trigger.
The best use for it so far has been COD Ghosts. Just tap it to bring up the scoreboard. Keeping it simple.
That's the trouble with having sausage fingers
Lol! Still better than fish fingers.
Seriously though, I have big hands and I still feel I am reaching over the sticks to get at it. I'd rather just use it as a mouse on the internet or PS store.

You got a BIG gap as well..Between your ears Ah Fish Fingers. Those were the days
