I spent about 1 hour last night with the Xbox one telling me I was logged in but not showing half the menu including my pins .
Ran internet connection test which told me all was ok and I was connected but yet still wouldn't download the update required and I gave up.
Now today thought I would try again and all seems fine apart from taking 45 minutes to download a 500 mb update which quite frankly is ludicrous .
Downloaded peggle 2 and that took over 1 hour,Microsoft really needs to sort these download speeds and install times because it's becoming a chore and another major disappointment with this machine.
With all the bad press you would think they would be bending over backwards to get this Xbox One on track.

To be honest mate the only time i've experienced slow download times have required me to reboot my router, seems to be a connection problem between the xbone and router, have to see if it happens with my new home hub 5!!

hope you have better luck than I did, my HomeHub 5 constantly buffers/slows down on Xbox one and PS4, so just moving to PlusNet soon, hopefully better quality service than BT.

Plusnet are BT in Disguise so don't count your chickens ?

So you are still around matey thought that comment would bring you on the boards .
Had some problems with Xbox One Friday night, said i was connected yet when i clicked on Titanfall it kept on constantly going back to the Dashboard and said connect to Xbox Live Whatever ?
Anyway gave up after 60 minutes and stuck me Modern console onPlaystation 4

Oh please don't get me going but being honest my downloads have always been good on Xbox live .
Install times are ridiculously slow and i don't see that changing .
I did actually use my Xbone the other day , half my dashboard was missing also but Battlefield worked and i got a couple of hours with my friends on the new maps . I could not play any longer , as the rubber banding was giving me motion sickness .
rubber banding Bert ? What you mean matey
Hey Bert on a serious note, have you considered selling it and getting the other one on the market.

I know, but they are run so differently from BT, just using BT for cash and finance stability, otherwise, independent and so much more helpful in every way.
I've had a year of hell with BT, thanks to home hub 5 buffering everything, so looking forward to changing to a new modem/router and decent firm.

Yeah I'm generally bombarded with offers of BT for Fibre and time after time I refuse even though they give me all the sales banter,I pay a premium for my Fibre connection and could generally get a similar deal from BT for less than half what I pay now with apparently no download restrictions.
I have thought hard and long but previous problems with trying to sort out basic phone line problems in the past taking hours of phone calls to call centres not in this country really took a massive toll and caused so much stress I would never use BT .
Personally I think they are one of the worse UK company's ever to exist with a terrible reputation, the whole organisation needs ripping apart and started from scratch and build a reputable customer service facility with people that actually solve problems rather than cause even more.

Went with BT as soon as i could get fibre and never looked back, i've had about 6 different providers and I would rate the service i receive as good as any!!

We'll your one of the few lucky ones Kila ,as my experience and talking with others that use there broadband services it's nothing but problems.
I have a neighbour over the road who had nuisance phone calls,BT suggested changing number, then they had 4 weeks without a Broadband connection because of the total incompetence of BT as a company.
It got to the point when they spent about 1 day on the phone ,and on some occasions when routed to a oversea call centre they were asked,so you need a broadband package when they already had one, what should have taken a few days took 4 weeks.
The minute there contract ended they were of like a shot after this total fiasco .

It's always good until something stops working. That's when all the fun starts.

You can have problems whoever supplies your service, it's the same line after all. But when you do, Plusnet are as good as it gets in my experience.
Aquiss are also excellent if you can afford the premium.

As good as it gets......? Wasn't that a Jack Nicholson film

Sell it : no , let it gather dust : yes , I'm hopping the new appointment of head of Microsoft Gaming will , given time and a few things in the future , like DirectX12 , will turn round what went wrong there .
Thing is , if i had a PS4 at this moment it would also be gathering dust as i finished my very long time project to build a PC Gamer i can play from my recliner in front of my big TV .
Working my way through a massive catalogue of back titles that i passed up on as there only single player games , So Tomb Raider , Bat Man and Dead Space have me totally riveted .
And yes all where brought from Steam for silly money . pocket change .
Same plan remains and that's to get a PS4 in the summer or for the release of Destiny but for now im happy hoovering up bargains on Steam and going solo .

Rubber banding is where you move forward and end up going back to where you just moved from .
You bothered to get BF4 for the gaming rig then bert?
Picked up the first dead space from origin for free yesterday, loved this series on console but this feels a bit strange control wise!!
The dead space games were awesome on consoles, really enjoyed them and look forward to some next generation dead space in the future, but for now I'm deep into Infamous Second Son.Just can not get enough of this brilliant mind blowing game.

No BF4 yet and not sure im getting it as my friends are still mainly on Xbox , and as BF4 is best played with a team and not solo .
That might change as i get more friends in the master race but i like have 3 friends on Steam at the moment and 2 of them im related to .

funny enough I got same issue on vita.
ran speedtest on the vita network settings got 16mbit/sec.
yet the psn download is going at barely 2mbit/sec so about 6 hours estimated time to download 2 games. probably will have to download on ps3 and transfer via usb.
I have a Vita but I don't have that problem,it's not exactly fast but it's certainly not that slow.
I fixed it, disabled wifi power saving.
Good lad can not say I've actually ever seen that setting if I'm honest matey .
