That's about all the game deserves matey
On a serious note it's suppose to be a very decent game ,didn't hold my attention for to long though as I have the attention span of a Gnat . ,
As for the Bargain Bin ....did I expect anything else
Wouldn't you have been wiser to hang on for Watchdogs and Wofenstein or are you planning picking them up next year same way you just got assassins creed

No doubt I'll get Wolfenstein (especially as I really enjoyed the previous one, and kicking Nazi botty is always fun). Don't know about Watchdogs - it looks all to GTAy for me...
I'm sure there are some video's I haven't done yet - including the video of me making a video (that is something for you to look forward too!)

I reckon you're right

Played it last night. Seems pretty good and managed to keep me from my bed for an hour longer than planned :/
The guards are a bit more of a pain in the [censored] than they need to be but I'm learning how to deal with them

Being a huge AC fan I have of course played this I have done pretty much everything you can do in the game! I made every town / city / island gold, I defeated the elite ships, did all of the story, collected all the collectables, did all the treasure maps etc. I absolutely loved it, one of the best games I have ever played
Good to see someone else on here enjoying it

Arrr Matey tis great
Just got the Jackdaw last night
It's really good game I'm glad I bought it now
Just need to learn how to sail now
|
|

Nice! I love the Jackdaw
Make sure you do the missions from the captains room of the boat often. They are a great way of getting money and resources. At the start you can only do ones that get you like 100 gold and 10 sugar and stuff like that. After a while you get ones that give you thousands of gold and loads and loads of resources!
Other good things for cash & resources are the forts, treasure maps and of course general pirate-ing if you get your wanted level up to first full crossed swords you get pirate hunters come after you. They are pretty easy to kill and drop loads of iron & wood.

Thanks for the tips I think I need them

Couple of questions for you Jaxx
How do I capture an island? Is it possible? I killed all the guards last night on Nasua
Also how do I get map coordinates? I look on my map but the coordinates don't seem to change when I move my curser about
|
|
|
You need to complete everything on the Island for it to go gold. That includes all the Mayan statues (if applicable), view points, tavern. If you bring the main map up and hover over the island it should show you what you have of each thing like 2/4 viewpoints etc. I think there are 2 islands that can't be taken over at all, the one on the very far left which is called Sacrifice Island and is just north west of the fort. Another one which I forget.
In regards to the co-ordinates they wont move on the map if you are in an island or in a town, you need to go out to your boat and then bring the map up and move the cursor around. You will then notice the co-ordinates change at the bottom as you move around

Great thanks for the advice

I've got some more advice.....come into the world of gaming and upgrade and get a Playstation 4 and that game you are playing now and everything you buy in the future will look way better.

I'm more than happy with how good it looks thanks.
The graphics on the PS4 aren't £400's worth better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilGwwYRKPw4
Anyway it will look better on a PC

A) That's 720 not 1080
B) The cost increase is subjective to the individuals expectations. I'm well happy with the improvement.
C) It depends how you assess graphics. Second Son makes GTAV look [censored] poor in the eye strain stakes. There will be the same difference between this and the PS3 version and that's exactly what I wanted my next gen to improve on, so I couldn't go back. You will see that when you finally pick one up.
I love the look of this game and may well one day pick it up from the bargain bins. I just didn't get on with the control scheme of the originals at all, as once discussed with Jaxx. Otherwise I would have bought it day one. Maybe the controls are more "mainstream" on this version?
