i own Far Cry Matey
This game will have been turned around in less than 2 years and I'm not totally convinced its going to meet its November deadline as Ubisoft have a habit of delaying games.
Think its down for November 19th and i hope this is just not a pre/order scam for numbers and then the inevitable delay a month before release gets announced .

If that looks ok i dread to think what its going to look like on your relic Playstation 3.

So you're more than satisfied with the quality of that on next gen?? I think it looks ok but nothing more

another fps
my thoughts are?
1080p is yesterday's news, some 4k videos of NFS pc up on youtube now. Ironically to show how bad vram optimisation is on watchdogs, 4k on NFS uses up less vram than 1080p on watchdogs.
The visuals granted is youtube compression in the way dont look much different to a texture upgraded oblivion, a game made several years ago. Also time remember this is another E3 footage, probably running on a pc and when the game is released it will be toned down.
Of course its a defenite step up from what FPS games looked like on previous gen consoles.
Nice to see the Elephant and stealth attempts, very similar to FC3 but will wait to see further gameplay thats not from E3.

But not enough to get me excited. From what I've seen of next gen so far I'm not impressed at all
i wouldn't say we have seen what i would call a massive selection of must have next generation games,as you know personally i think Watchdogs is awesome ,on a graphical level then Second Son is the winner and certainly looks like a next generation game but most of the other don't .
Knowing your track record you must have lost interest in Watchdogs by now??

you wont be, its not like when the ps3 got launched that had revolutionary capabilties, the ps4 doesnt. the ps4 does have lots of gddr which allows devs to get lazy on vram optimisation aka watchdogs but otherwise its on par with a mid range pc.
Of course that doesnt mean I think its a bad console, for me what will make or break the ps4 is its content, of which there is nothing to excite me yet.
shame square enix aint copying everyone else and releasing on previous gen, this game still remains a next gen exclusive.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XV
also this was going to be ps3, got changed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_Hearts_III now xbox1/ps4 exclusive.
square enix are going to single handedly sell millions of ps4 units. first big games that arent FPS and next gen exclusive.

Seriously Swanny, if you played Killzone or Second Son on your own TV rather than just seeing it on YouTube the difference would be obvious. The visual clarity is the leap this time round and whatever anybody tells you, the visuals are right up there. When Uncharted lands we will get a better idea of what the future holds graphically, but remember. The previous UC games were famously well detailed. The only thing missing was the definition. It will look fantastic, but there will still be people hanging around saying it's average. That's simply how some people are.
but otherwise its on par with a mid range pc 95% of PC's.
I did see bf4 on a ps4, certianly did look different to youtube although the main noticeble difference was the framerate the visuals didnt look a whole lot different. But 60fps on it felt weird, too smooth, doesnt feel right. Should have been locked ot 30fps for better experience.

Nonsense.

in terms of all pc's it wont be 95% as a lot will be low end.
if we talking about just gamers, then maybe yeah it be over 80%, not at 95% tho, quite a lot of people own a gtx 780 or 770 and I put it on par with a 760 for processing power. Of course the real problem that is in 2-3 years time, these people will own more pwoerful 800 or 900 series cards, whilst the ps4 will be static. Thats why I am saying its underspec'd at launch, the ps3 was better than a high end pc at its launch.
The ps4 is about to drive a ton of new gpu sales tho, as watchdogs shows that devs are going to be lazy, and vram requirements are likely now to skyrocket on ps4 ports. The defacto vram on a average midend pc gpu is 2gig. Watchdogs needs more then that at high quality textures-medium detail.
FF15 due in sept 2015 I think so is a way off, not sure about kingdom hearts 3. When both available I get a ps4 probably.

no i haven't lost interest in Watchdogs and there is no reason why i would given what i have said about the game.
Not sure where your coming from with the phrase Knowing your track record.?
I say it how it is Swanny and i buy a lot of games, which in my case will mean a fair bit of disappointment .
Are you for real.
The playstation 3 was better than a high end PC at launch, what with 256 of Ram.

Not sure about FF15, they look to be turning it into an Action game rather than RPG. Not sure if it will work, although I haven't been impressed by the last few FF games so perhaps this is what it needs to rekindle the love for it? They need to remake FF7, 8 and 9 for next gen, that would be brilliant. I would definitely buy FF8 and FF9 if it came out with modern graphics. I was never the biggest fan of 7 but I did enjoy it.
T2D I agree with you, I have been disappointed by the lack of games on next gen so far. I am really bored of gaming at the moment and spend whatever free time I have on a new MMO I have discovered on my mobile phone. I'm waiting for Destiny, Farcry and a couple of other games that all seem to be coming out in the latter part of this year.
As usual we will be hit with an abundance of games around the Christmas period and I won't know what to get first, but at least that should keep me busy into the first quarter of next year
Knowing your track record means that you get really excited about a game and then all of a sudden lose interest and trade it
That's generally the way Jaxx mate,July you couldn't buy a half decent game if you wanted to,there is absolutely nothing out ,same for August another basically dead month.
Game releases are thin on the ground and the next actual game I'm interested in is destiny but I'm not convinced it's my type of game with its RPP type elements about it .
Think this ships September and Far Cry 4 November which I pray to god isn't a Ubisoft delay,at present believe it or not I only have Far Cry 4 and Destiny on pre/ order.
I have all the release dates and unless something comes completely out of the blue there is hardly anything to get excited about judging by this years games releases apart from the above two games .
You could mention the New Cod which I have completely lost faith in,and the new Battlefield doesn't do it for me .
I have the Playstation 4 version of The Last Of Us which I'm looking forward to with the updated graphics and 60 FPS multiplayer, but I've been there done that so all though it's a awesome game I know exactly what's coming.
I'm going to be checking out the multiplayer though as many have commented on how good it is and I only gave it about an hour originally .
It really is a severe game drought as normal if not worse, thank heavens I still have Watchdogs and Killzone Shadowfall multiplayer that I have just got into again.
I bought that sniper elite 3, it's decent but it's not something that will replace the above two games, must check out it's multiplayer but I'm not convinced .
Xbox One needs that new Remedy game Quantum break, but there is no date still for that game and I read that's listed as a 2015 release which is madness.
Both systems needed killer games on release and both systems didn't do that,we had what I would call a few decent games on both systems but nothing to write home about.
Think I'm going to be buying more Indi games in the next few months than anything else.

Yeah because they hit retail and then disappoint just like Wolfenstein and god knows how many others,at present only Far Cry 4 has me excited and we still have 6 months left of 2014 and there is little coming out.
You should buy Watchdogs for that relic of yours,if you loved GTA5 then you got another brilliant game there .
To be honest besides a 3 hour gaming session with Nelly the other week I haven't been interested in gaming since the warmer weather and World Cup.
Yup I am gutted that Quantum Break has been pushed back to next year, I was really looking forward to that! Seems I will have to just sit tight and wait for some more to come out.
I am quite excited about Destiny, from what I have read they have a good mix of FPS / RPG so it will be interesting to see the blend. I didn't really like Borderlands though so I hope it is a lot better than that.
Yeah Borderlands you and me both,it's very much in the same vein isn't it and to me that's a concern ,nelly played 3 days of the Alpha and all though he liked it he didn't like the RPGS elements of the game and said graphically it's no Killzone Shadowfall which again is disappointing .
You interested in the new Battlefield game because I'm not,and unless the new COD completely takes me by surprise and blows me away that's another game I will be leaving on the shelf because quite frankly I thought COD Ghosts was a joke,Nelly will say otherwise but what does he know about Gaming "...........obviously I'm kidding........Not
He's been crying because he can not get anywhere near my Resogun score ,I'm available for tuition at £40 an hour to get him up to speed though
He probably end the next fortnight trying to hammer my score after he reads this, saying that he had the original Resogun score and I was nowhere near his.....obviously he lost his MoJo
I'll wait until I get a PS4 before I buy Watchdogs. Should be a decent price by then
it will work, I am not a big fan of the idea, but lightning returns has been a huge success for square enix. they made that into a real time battle system and most western gamers love it.
They will concentrate now on fast paced battle systems.
in terms of gpu capability it was better.
the lower ram mostly meant more loading in games as nothing could be cached in ram.
of course the ps3 was considered over complicated to code for and as such quite often many games didnt max out its power as they werent optimised, many people because of this assumed the 360 was more powerful than the ps3.
yeah it should be around £19.99 in 2018
If it isn't delayed I will definitely pick up Far Cry 4 before Destiny. Looks awesome and I absolutely loved FC 3. Just got lost for hours ducking around in the jungle.
Jaxx, Destiny is really good and nowhere near as "collectible" heavy as Borderlands, though the art style reminded me of it a tad from time to time. My only beef is the RPG element that requires you to go to "The Tower" to run about and find wizardy types to upgrade your gear. It breaks the game up dramatically and I found it particularly irksome. It's a bit like Playstation Home, not really needed!
The public events are really cool though. It does feel seamless.
Destiny Nelly is out 10 weeks before Far Cry 4 so i doubt you be doing that, anyway there is the playstation 4 beta in a few weeks
The game I'm looking forward to playing next is Assassins Creed Unity. Nearly finished black flag which is fantastic
I might pick up this black flag since that's all you keep on raving about,a little like Battlefield the year before
I have already had Black flag on my retro Playstation 3 and it didn't blow me away like it does for you,but because of the severe game drought and the fact I have a few turkeys lying around the house I might trade them in for that game.
No real need as I'm into Watchdogs but I hate having games around the house I don't play or don't even like .

It's one of those games that keeps you playing. I'll just clear this island and then go to bed.......... :/
Think I will pick it up Swanny and give you the low down at a later date
Will look forward to it
Ai is pretty stupid but it's still a good game
Haha that's exactly what I was like on it, have you been enjoying the underwater ones? I thought they were quite fun, bloomin' annoying when the sharks keep trying to eat you!!
Not too keen on the underwater ones as he sometimes doesn't go where I want him to go especially when there are sharks around
I've done all the islands except for the one where you must need a rope dart to get to some of the stuff but I can't find the last Mayan stone :/
EDIT just had a look on the net and I think I still have to do some stuff in the game
