For me personally it was brilliant,that good i played through it twice,thats only my opinion as I'm in love with FPS and if your not so keen then you may not be as immersed and impressed as myself

Is Swanny actually praising Far Cry 3 or my eyes decieving me ,or is he talking about Battlefield 4 because that's the only game I have ever heard him speak about highly,well that's not completly true as he does have a soft spot for Assasins creed black flag which I thought paws complete pants ....

Mind you mate, I seem to remember you showing little interest in it compared to the first two installments and picking it up half heartedly? Just shows how a good franchise doesn't need to evolve too much, just keep doing what it does best.

FC3 was great to start with but like you I found it boring towards the end

Like the majority of games you buy apart from Uncharted and Battlefield you certainly a hard bloke to please...
Far Cry to me is brilliant,it's everything I want in a open world FPS.
People are calling it Far Cry 3.5 and I just don't get it,why would and expect major changes that made Far Cry 3 so dam good.
How can you literally change a FPS game that pleases most of the masses ,how has COD or Battlefield evolved ,it hasn't they just look better with different settings and maps .

There was nothing remotely boring about Far Cry 3 ,you two have less patience than myself,and I thought I was fussy

You got to hand it to Playstation network as they don't tend to take much notice that UK time its a pain in the backside but just a inconience if your stateside Usa.

Sad thing is my jiffy bag is just sitting in a warehouse waiting on Mr Postman on Monday morning to sort it and get it to my address.

The reason I got bored towards the end was the second island. It really did make you miss the first one. It was a bit bland in comparison and shooting soldiers was far less fun than setting tigers on to bandits or burning the ganja fields with your flamethrower.
One of the reviews in Timey's post pointed out that the Kyrat setting isn't as good as FC3's first island, but from what I've seen it looks better, more varied. Hopefully we won't have to move somewhere else half way through this time.
P.S. I reckon UC2 was probably my favourite of the series, although they were all excellent games.
