For those of you not privileged enough to receive pics via PSN message (and those that probably couldn't wait for the poxy things to refresh

) I can confirm the game looks fantastic! The first time I was left alone it felt like I was Johnny R in First Blood. Whoever said the environment is not as pretty as FC3's tropical island is an idiot.
There has been some dozy AI and one NPC walking in mid air so far but I'm enjoying it too much to be overly critical yet. The dead body rag doll physics are really, really good and although I've never enjoyed hiding bodies before (I'm looking at you Splinter Cell) this time is different. You can loot your victim, but if you hide the body you will automatically loot as you pick him up. I've been making piles of bodies and leaving them on the road/riverbank. That'll learn 'em that nelly won't be messed with and is generally good housekeeping in any event.
The environment is reactive too. Brushing through the bushes actually moves them realistically and if you shoot through the trees, the branches are moved aside by your shots.
The default driving mechanic is awful, the left stick doing all, left/right/forward/reverse. The trouble is that the vehicles are so sensitive to drive (which makes them great fun on the mountain passes) that you end up all over the place. Sensibly they have included a "classic" option in the vehicle control menu. Well done Ubisoft for a change!
Animals are indeed far more aggressive. When armed only with a bow and arrow, I've been done over by the wild boar more than any other animal. You can (perhaps unrealistically) bait an animal in, anywhere, anytime. The good news is he doesn't kill the victims straight off, he mauls them one after another. While they're kept busy you can smash them up too. Then when they're all dead he will turn his attention on you, which makes you feel a tad guilty, but at least replaces the bait you used in the first place!
I had a ton of fun with this game last night and I haven't been anywhere near an outpost yet....or an elephant
The only bad news is that tokens have now gone up to £7-50 a piece.
