Well blame the goodie goodie boys that have ruined the country, tell you now we should have progressed as the years roll by but it's got worse..

Even the thought that a child can report his parents for over discipline procedure makes my skin crawl, tell you now if I had kids they could shove that were the sun don't shine and they would get a good hiding if they back chatted me or any other older person.

Sometimes when I'm out and about I just cringe when I see the future teenagers and there arrogant ways and total lack of care and consideration for anyone......

That's why myself and the Mrs Timey in 2015 are moving back to the country nowhere near town type life.......Think I might move to Milton Keynes......crazy

I've heard there is a crazy bloke up that way who actually owns a copy of Drive Club.....tongue

Milton Keynes is renowned for it's Motorsport connections. Silverstone sits just a stones throw away, whilst Red Bull and Oooosh Racing boast headquarters there.

PSN back online

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

The PSN came back on after midnight it seems.

Been reading a bit more on DDoS attacks and it seems Sony already use the best people money can buy. When you read how much bandwidth these guys can provide for re routing, it can only be the size of the PSN (twice as big as Xbox live in terms of possible subscriber throughput) that causes the delay.

Anyhow, The Tiny Lizard Pen*s Squad have promised never to attack PSN or XBOX Live ever again. How very decent of them.....

On the BBC news they said Anonymous were responsible. I never believe anything the BBC say these days anyway.

Looks like someone else has been busy http://www.dailydot.com/politics/anonymous-lulzxmas-...

Remember though that the numbers quoted are the numbers of usernames made up and not of unique users, When PSN was free a lot of people (read kids playing COD and cheating) made multiple accounts for when the username/gamertag got banned and used another account. I read somewhere that the actual number of unique subscribers is actually a lot closer.

Apparently PSN was properly hacked and in the PSN store Destiny was made free (not the trial) as well (pics of it were online) and that was the reason late last night that when PSN got it back it came up as maintainance etc, Not sure how true it is but there is deffo pics about of it with it free and everyone was talking about it online yesterday and on streams etc, Although obviously it doesn't take much to start a rumour and it taking off online now so it maybe fake.

Either way it's a kick up the [censored] of all the companys that they need to improve a lot (especially Sony IMO).
Would be nice if they actually give something away as a gesture of goodwill for the downtime even if it's just adding the days down onto peoples sub.

There's been a lot of fake hack stories around, including the Daily Mail Online which soon got taken down. The scramble for the headline overrides the facts. frown

I would say it highly improbable because hacking a DDoSed service is likely almost impossible. If your method of preventing external access is by flooding servers indiscriminately, how do you then get in to hack it? I would assume they only usually get in by exploiting weaknesses in the front end?

I'd go along with that.....

Also, like you say, the media are publishing an array of misleading and confusing articles so it is quite hard to figure out what is going on.

I think the hackers have been mucking around with the handling of the cars in DriveClub, especially the McClaren.

That's wotty's excuse anyhow!
