I got some strange things happening on this PS app,keeps getting notification sounds and messages saying Nelly Has left,Jorkila has left,Swanny has left and other names obviously associated with you guys but not actually on my friends lists.
Get the same with the messages on the Playstation 4��.Weird..

It's when you've been included in joint messages matey and then the other people included in the conversation delete the message.

Ahhh....that makes sense now mate, thank you. I deleted some of those crimbo messages and everybody was saying they were getting weird notifications. 
In other news, the message system seems to have speeded up (for me at least) dramatically recently. Probably spoke too soon now though!

Guilty as charged.
Just delete the message on the inbox list by pressing the options button. I think the options are refresh and delete. It takes a second or two to delete, so don't be impatient!

Still can not rid myself of these stupid ,tedious messages saying so and so has left.....can not even delete these message threads on the Playstation 4 as suggested by the Guilty Man in the Dock ....Nelly... 
It wouldn't be so bad if it was just the few in my friends list,but it's every other Tom ,dick and Harry in there's and not mine.....

Highlight the original message and press the options button and you'll have two options and one of those is delete mate.

Did you do one at a time and wait for it to delete before deleting the next one? It did seem to take a few seconds for them to delete and also didn't want to delete them in quick succession when I did it.
Messages seem to be going through almost (but not quite) instantly now though.

Still getting the same message coming through like Jorkila has left blah ,blah,blah ....I just don't understand why this is now happening as its never been a issue in the past..
I'm even getting same with other people that are not in my friends list ,friends of friends obviously ..
Think the only solution may be to delete the Nelly,Swanny,Jorkila from my friends list and start all over,tried deleting the message thread but it won't let me ....
Think Nelly said he done this ,but not sure if that's a windup or he was just trying something new out,but there is little point been told every couple of hours you have a new message only to click on it and get blah blah blah has left ....Annoying I know that

You can delete the thread as such via the console and the app mate, just long press the main message body and you should get an option to delete the message.

Or just not worry about it

I like the message app Swanny when it's working how it should be and that's when someone sends you a message and I'm not informed when your sitting on the toilet

Don't work mate tried it countless times,get spinning wheel for 30 seconds and then the can not delete message ? App the biggest load of [censored] out ,I'm sick of deleting it and then reinstalling it and it's still literally [censored] 12 months on and Sony need to get there [censored] head out there [censored] and sort the [censored] out......

I can delete the message vie the app and console matey, I use the app on my iphone.

I don't have the ps camera so it wouldn't know that

I got a camera with the console bundle, but had to fork out for an extension cable to get it to the water closet. Wifi's a bit iffy up there mind.
Must be worse for Timey, up norf with his outside loo....
