I think Swanny was soliciting down the back alleys again last night. smile

I was stuck watching my noob mate and his girlfriend, proving why developers (as hard as they try) just can't cater for bandy fingered, cotton headed, ninny muggins!

It was painful too watch, seriously. crazy

And now I'm stuck on 3G because my connections gone down.....frown

I am on my Todd and that's what I want for now.....I'm not jumping into online until I have spent many hours in single player,I'm even tempted to play Watchdogs again,a very underrated game in my opinion but now with the added bonus of invading friends games.....Not that I got many.

No a few loonies that play that Drive Club thingy....crazy

I spent 30 minutes having a private dance with Kleenex By my side crazy

Anyway i forgot just how dam good this game is,pure quality, was taking a trip to see Lamar and set up the bank job,as i was cruising down the street Gerry Rafferty and Baker Street came on.

Once i had arrived at my destination i just sat in the car listening to the rest of the song and admiring the different camera angles, exhaust smoke the lot.

Even spent 30 minutes in the firing range and i guess this game is going to take up a lot of my time.

You see games like this only come around every couple of years and I'm going to get plenty of enjoyment out of the single player part of the game and there is no rush to play this online.

Thanks for the offer Swanny this evening but it wasn't a difficult decision ..Swanny or Strippers wink

I compromised......Swanny dressed like a stripper! grin

I probably should have done some single player as I'd forgotten all of the controls/menus, but it's the social aspect of this game that I Iove. I've even gone back to 3rd person as a default, just because it's easier than having two control schemes on the go at the minute.

Tip of the week:

When push bike racing, never hold R2 down, especially when recommended to do so by a sneaky Eastender lol! smile

So what gives with the online then,is it any good and whats it all about as I'm guessing you do heists and mission based events with others or private lobbies.

Don't think i have ever loaded the online part even on the playstation 3.

Last night 3 members of the Smeg crew spent the evening in a private lobby and did a few missions, races and parachute jumps. Earnt just over $100k and loads of RP.
After Nelly left I spent $400k on the new Smeg 4 seater mission car http://gta.wikia.com/Exemplar
It's bright yellow so easy to spot and is unlocked for all of us to drive smile

Kila road tested it by C4-ing a few police cars. It passed with flying colours laugh

Still needs another $80k spent on transmission and brakes to be fully maxed out.

If you go in public lobbies you just get shot up by everyone
I've sent you a Smeg crew invite.

Good to hear it mate, the story/single player in GTA 5 is one of the very best of any generation and is a must play. I was blown away by how good it was, even on me ole 32bit console smile

That's not to say the multiplayer isn't good as it is very good also but it's a shame to miss the story.

Not really that interested as I'm concentrating only on the single player part of the game,I have so much in the way of games to play all requiring many many hours of my time, the last few weeks over Xmas I got completly fed up with gaming and have hardly played for more than a couple of hours during the last 4 weeks....

Still not finished Far Cry 4 and the last time I played that was for a constant 3 weeks virtually ,have one fortress to finish of then more than likely I will play it over again only with different choices in the main story, that is if I don't get addicted to GTA5.

See I'm not really a great lover of GTA games in general and even though first time around on the Playstation 3 I was blown away with the high production value of the game within a week I got a little bored and uninterested in the game.

This time around even though I have seen it all so far I feel a little bit more involved and drawn into the story in general.

Dying light is only a few weeks from release and if I take a liking to this then I can see everything else been put on the back burner.

Wasn't impressed with Dead Island so it really needs to be something a lot better, from what I've seen it looks great and is at least according to the developers a 50 hour game, which in my case means 100 hours.

Think I am at 39 hours in Far Cry 3 a game you are suppose to finish in 10.....

Re: GTA 5 last night...

[re: time2die] [link to this post]

Was playing for around 30 minutes last night and kept getting Swanny has the fastest time on his Massy Ferguson on this track.......Don't know what the hell all that was about but obviously something Swanny has achieved during his playing time...

Took a look at the online options and it said I needed to complete the tutorial to play or something along those words.....couldn't see any online tutorial so unless this opens up in the single player at a later stage I'm not sure, and since I never touched this mode on the Playstation 3 originally I'm none the wiser...

Even though this GTA 5 is fantastic in its own sort of way, within 30 minutes last night I preffered to watch TV over playing any game in general...

In fact I have now deleted my Far Cry 4 save and feel more inclined to go back and play that over GTA 5 or Dragon Age Inquistion and the rest of the stuff I have briefly played...

Think the problem for me with games the size of GTA5 they require a large amount of game time and patience ,everything in the brief time I have played isn't new and it's going to be around 12 hours before I get to something I haven't seen.

Not sure about this FPS mode with anything else other than driving, even that's not the easiest to control,I'm also sick of constantly touching the front duel shock 4 touchpad to change the mode from FPS to 3RD person when I'm running and generally walking about, can not seem to find a setting when I don't have to constantly change it within the different scenarios .

I have seen the setting in the menu but I can not get it to default to 3rd person unless I'm missing something .....

No your just one of a couple of friends in my list so it's not really a great achievement to be top of a scoreboard with 3 friends in my list and the other 2 yet to complete a time on that particular part or track tongue

You can turn "head bobbing" and "rag doll effect" off in the FPS options mate. Maybe that's why you don't like FPS mode?

He makes me laugh.

This GTA online looks like a heap of fun but I'm guessing its pretty frantic in open matches and not lobby with friends.

Isn't there a crew v crew death match scenario.

Check out these GTA Stunts.

You got the last of us Jorkila,if you have then we shall put a online crew together and have a bit of 4 on 4 action .

2 weeks then a bit of Dying Light which I hope doesn't disappoint ,Zombie smashing with Mirrors edge dynamics ,let's hope it lives up to the previews as dead island for me at least got very tedious and boring quickly and I didn't keep that for long.

I know one thing the dialogue will stink in this game as it did in dead island, some of what they did and said was down right stupidity af the highest order.

I was reading a gaming journalist 3 hour play through who said he was very impressed but the dialogue made him cringe ....

At the end of the day it's about game playability and does it emerse the player,GTA5 is right up there with the best voice overs and addiction I have ever seen in a game,I put this right along side The Last Of Us and Uncharted .
