ordering ff type 0 hd today which will commit me to it

My decision aside from the better spec of the ps4 is that various xbox1 exclusives are also out for the pc whilst no ps4 exclusives will be out for the pc.

Also hopefully a third party controller will appear with the xbox layout like the one I use for my ps3, as at the moment doesnt seem to be any.

I ordered FF now as jrpg games can get in short supply and prices skyrocket. I have no urgent need to play it now as I still have many games to play.

Already there is steelframe limited editions on ebay for £120 O_o launch price was £50.

Well I found one.

ps4 white tho, I think these are harder to shift than black's.

The list price was £380 and without watchdogs but I had a loyalty discount of 15% and I complained that I wanted the watchdog package for same price so they threw it in inclusive instead of replacing one of the other two games..

I expect tho if I waited out till christmas this console will be under £250 without games or under £300 with games.

I don't even know why you even talk about pre/ordering and buying playstation 4 games when you don't even own or have any intention of buying one until you find the ultimate bargain by the look of things.

the ps4 is due here by wed next week, and it probably will go to my tv not the pc monitor as there is no space here for a 3rd console.

I'm still not happy with mine. The updates weren't good enough. The power off after 10 mins on the controller doesn't work with iplayer

Then sell it Swanny and go buy a playstation 3. i wouldn't keep something i disliked.

Its called Life just like when you drive a car out of a showroom the price drops dramatically,same with all second hand goods.

But Game rips you off when you trade them in so I'd rather let them gather dust or give them away

Couldn't agree more regarding game,i only use them when I'm absolutely desperate for a game or i have accumulated to many which in my case is quite often,shoot.net do a trade in scheme but i can not be bothered with posting them of and waiting for credit to appear on my account .

So Game unfortunately i have to use since the decline of Blockbusters and Gamestation ruined by the Game Corporation.

I dont see that as the same thing.

if you only need one car and over time your older car loses value as it is more likely to have problems and newer cars have newer technology. By all means a newer car can replace the older car. Not to mention cars take up space, need road tax etc.

ps3 vs ps4 not the same thing as a ps4 cannot play any ps3 games, I still have use for my ps3 and will do for years to come (likewise with my 360) I am not going to sell games for £1-5 each, even if they games I probably wont play again, I would rather stick them in a box collecting dust than sell for silly money.

I still cant get my head round when I see or read about someone who has been gaming for years and they own maybe 2 or 3 games because all the time they trade in everything they buy so have no game collection of note and are only interested in playing the very latest games for a short time before trading them in again.

Even greats like Uncharted get traded eventually unless it has a online mode to die for and it didn't.

As for backward compatibility then thats another question ? ,personally i don't buy new consoles to play last generation games and generally move on with the times.

My only gripe about both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One is the slow release of really decent software,now in Bloodborne we have what i would say is the first must have Playstation 4 game.

I understand where you're coming from, but I'm the same. If I had the space and the free time to organise a games room, with a collection of my personal gaming memorabilia, I would. But in reality I get a corner of the living room, just enough for a recliner and a TV cabinet. No point in keeping it all just to sit in a drawer I reckon, as I wouldn't bother going back to play older generation games.

That said, I had some fun planning the wife's holiday route with PacMan on Google yesterday. Even then I struggled to make it out of our cul-de-sac.

Except my games collection isn't very big, but it's what you do with it that counts...

I wont go on about it anyway everyone has their own way of playing games.

I look forward to seeing the new dash/store etc. and to play with the new features like built in twitch streaming. FF type 0 is already here so will have 4 games from the go to play.

Playing on the tv also hopefully wont be too bad for me, whilst I prefer been close to the screen, its worth mentioning at the time I moved my ps3 and 360 to my pc setup, my tv was a old 21 inch CRT (meaning less than 21inch viewable) wasnt even widescreen. I do now have a 32 inch 1080p LCD so hopefully the experience will be decent.

ok had to rearrange living room to make space, moving sofas etc.

Now the ps4 is setup, signed into psn, downloaded some games that I claimed on psn+.

The store is indeed a hell of a lot faster than the ps3, but the settings on the ps4 dash seem a disappointment, not much to play with. I am wondering tho is there a way to get the theme I use on my ps3 onto the ps4?
