Guess what I've just gone and done.

Desperate for some online action and ?

Gears 1,Gears 2,and Gears 3 cost the grand total of £4.....wink

Sort of Swanny prices.tongue

I am so much missing Gears Horde mode i can not wait until Christmas for the Xbox One Compatibility as thats about when that goes live for the masses.

And the other issue is how long the Gear Franchise takes if ever coming to there selection of previous 360 games......

So the clues in the Thread.......wink

Put it this way,The ethernet lead is coming out of the back of the Xbox One smile

You tell M$ which 360 games you want given the Xbox One Compatibility treatment.

https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503-backwards-c...

The new windows 10 based XB1 dash is due out Holiday 2015 so I'm guessing this will be added then (well for all the riff raff common peasants not in the preview)

Just bought myself the Xbox one 1TB console, so I too can play old 360 games.

Must say I'm impressed by the new console, silent running, and lots of storage space.

At E3 you could apply for the Xbox one original Gears to play on Xbox One,but after getting the code and downloaded it i was then told i needed another code to activate the game which believe it or not has shown up on my Xbox Live messages a few minutes ago.

Considering it ends Monday and it Gears 1 which has no Horde mode then they can stick that where the sun don't shine.

Gears 3 and if your a teenager Halo should have been the first games on Microsoft Backward Compatibility list so they shouldn't really need to ask stupid questions.

You bring your biggest guns and Gears franchise for Microsoft don't come much bigger.

Anyway just rigged up the Xbox 360 and downloaded my profile, now to get the never used Astro A50 Headset working once I've charged the thing as its been left for about 18 months and bought it just for the Xbox One.

Just re/downloaded all my gears 2 and 3 map packs so I'm going to have a Horde night later with my mate.

Horde for me was a reason alone to own a 360 and i adored it wink and to be honest its one of only a few reasons why i bought another 360.

I know the possibility is they will eventually come to Xbox One,but i aint waiting until Winter, because thats when this compatibility will be for everyone and there is no guarantee Gears 3 the best one will be on the Xbox One.

Unfortunately thats where i had to go to pick up My 360 Slim today, they come in handy for trading in unwanted games and i have had plenty of them last 6 months.

So i ended up paying just £20 for the bundle wink.

Don't like Game and prefer online retailers, they are ultra greedy and the prices on most of there Gaming content beggars belief, not surprising they ruined Gamestation and wanted High Street World Wide Domination by the looks of it.

Yeah, I'm also not the number 1 fan of game, but just wanted to get the 1TB Xbox early.

Now got to set up some new online friends, but not got anything other than Witcher 3 (came with machine) to play yet ( just moved house too, so that doesn't help bank balance).

But, being the big kid, couldn't wait to get hold of the new console.

18 months after they originally got released.wink 500gig is way to small given the digital content and distribution of most games these days,I'm not to worried as there is little on my Xbox One hard drive, and what is ends up been wiped virtually a few days later after failing to inspire me.

Only when the new Tomb Raider releases in about 4 months will i connect all the leads once again.

Im basically extremely disappointed in the content both Sony and Microsoft have bought to both the new platforms, thank heavens for Bloodborne on the playstation 4 thats all i can say,its the only saving grace this year so far.

I couldn't get into The Witcher and should have known that before i bought it,believe it or not i think there is just way to much content in the game and most of this is took up by side quests and other stuff with to much talking and cut scenes for my liking .

Obviously try as i might,I'm just not into RPGs of this nature,i wasn't that impressed with the graphics and the fighting animations either.

Looked great in the videos but a few hours spent with The Witcher for me at least did nothing to contain my excitement and i couldn't wait to turn it of as it bored me to death.

Now to Charge and rig up the Astro A50 headset, another waste of money as i don't recall ever using it,and it was a obscene amount of money.

Still takes 5 hours to charge, looked at the online set up for the 360 and it looks basic and easy,i doubt that will be the case later this evening.

Nelly go get yourself a 360 and play a game that will blow your socks of !! I know you and i know what you like.

Don't listen to Jaxx,he don't know what he's talking about, once you play Gears 3 Horde you will understand why Timey has invested once again in the ageing Xbox 360.wink

What makes it even more exciting,time2frag had exactly the same thought and he has done the same........Bring it on.tongue

Agreed, only game on my radar is fallout 4 in November.

Tried Elder scrolls online on PS4, but got bored with it ( like the witcher game being honest), so roll on end of this year for better releases.

And Friday and Saturday night i just spent more time with a Microsoft console [Xbox 360] Than the last 18 months on the Xbox One and that my friends is very sad given the state of the game releases on both next gen consoles.

Gears Games are no Uncharted but many on here say Graphics are not that important, what this game has is addiction and superb gameplay to match.

Best 48 hours spent online in ages wink

Good for you mate. As long as the visuals aren't literally all over the place, gameplay really is king.

Take Project Cars for example (or not in your case tongue), the visuals certainly don't match DriveClub. But the action is fast and frantic and you really do think the graphics are amazing when flying around the track. If you watch someone else play and concentrate on the scenery rather than his driving, the visual niggles will come to the fore. Horde mode shooters (even more so than racers) get so frenetic as you progress, that the immersion is sustained. The aliasing isn't really that noticeable.

In RPG's or open world titles, it's easy to pick fault whilst ambling around at low pace studying the vistas. Take TLOU on PS3 (and to a lesser extent on the PS4). If you want to ignore the detail and critique the aliasing it's easy to do. But that's not the whole package. It's telling that the Witcher 3 got picked out on it's visuals (grass etc.) when the world they have created looks so fantastic. I never bemoaned the huge frame rate hit on the dead end gantry in De Reise, at level 35 when there were four players being over run by 50 zombies. smile

Glad you're enjoying it mate, but I won't be getting an Xbox 360. All my spare cash is going toward my build. Then I'll be downloading Killing Floor 2.

Ordering my case today. grin

Killing Floor ......You for real tongue first one wasn't that exciting and i just downloaded it and played it on steam and i wasn't that impressed after about 4 years it looks dated.

So what you boys are saying is Timey needs to go out and invest on a PC gaming rig as all of you lot seem to be eloping........Traitors tongue

I got a Macbook upstairs in the office, not renown as a gaming rig i will give you that and limited steam games on the steam store.

Don't really want to ditch that machine and i much prefer to wait for these Steam Boxes to show up on the horizon.

I still do hate it. I might even stamp on it and lob it out of the window when finished, if it doesn't boot first time. mad

I want it for Dirt Rally and Project Cars in my future triple screen racing set up. I will definitely not be deserting the ps4 mate, period. I haven't got the patience or the spare time for over clocking and all that malarkey. Not yet anyway. smile

As soon as Steam gets the content, I will consider dual booting. If not, I'll just be happy with my PS4.

That's the hope. grin

But my point is, you don't need absolutely everything on or else it's "a jaded experience" or "held back" as I read on certain sites. If you can avoid the elitists at the very top, it's quite easy to spec a system within your budget.

I agree. You can get near it for £600, but then £750 will wipe the floor with it. Probably wasn't quite that easy 18 months ago, but you can now get a cracking video card for £150. Building yourself is a bit cheaper, but not really comparable seeing as you didn't have to build your ps4!!

Just my opinion of course, but I've priced so many bits and pieces the last couple of weeks and checked numerous pre built machine prices, I don't think I'm too far off the mark.
