World of Warships :-)

[link to this post]

Me like and much better entertainment than the majority of stuff on the telly box.

Hiding a battleship behind an island is interesting, but remember that shells do travel in an arc smile

I had a quick go at Tanks. Do people really use all those different options? Jeez. I quite like the idea of it, but this keyboard malarkey is going to take a bit of getting used to.

And how the hell do you change the view? I trained in third person, but got wasted straight away in game whilst trying to remove the first person view! I could enjoy it a lot more than War Thunder if I could only use a controller. frown

The main problem with it is that you have to buy each ship, rather than have to work for it.

Yes, on Dad's version, you could only II Chikuma by using dabloons, whilst on mine is experience. Its possible there was a recent update that sorts it...

Sunk my first ship with torpedo's yesterday. Whilst the vessel involved was on my side, I suspect it was a fifth columnist, and thus I probably saved a lot more ships...

Looks good
I remember playing something like it on my ST.
I chased a aircraft carrier for hours and then lost it when I tried to cut him off :/

Different games suit different moods

Xbox One World Of Tanks is more arcade like than the PC, which is a slower game generally as more precision is possible.

World of Warships seems slow paced, but with tactical play you can rule the seas, cross the t and that way you can kill much larger ships.

Lots of people keep their fighters close to their aircraft carrier, I use them to scout and intercept aircraft while still over the enemy

Get a better sinking ratio when you control torpedo planes more closely to get a better angle that is harder for someone to evade.

Did get down to 2 vs 1 and last enemy came for me, damaged them with torpedo's and a sly reverse into them sunk them smile

Yes, I don't keep my fighters nearby - I get them to start attacking other planes, otherwise they would be useless.

Changing the attack orientation is useful as one ship kept manoeuvring around. Did manage to inflict a lot of damage though, I am please to say.

Havent rammed anyone yet though frown

Got a couple of new videos up now :

Battleship and Aircraft Carrier

What is cheeky is that you need to spend real money to delete a ship if you have enhanced it...

Go into the Upgrades page, right-click on the installed module and you get the option to Delete it. Took me a while to find that option, too, when I came to sell my first ship. I'll double-check exactly how to do it when I get home later, and edit this, since it did take a bit of random-clicking to find it...

Enjoying the game, so far, although I also played Tanks & Warplanes - currently up to T3 Destroyer, T4 Battleship, and T4 Cruiser; not yet got access to my first aircraft carrier!

Yes, thats done it - thanks. Bit convoluted way of doing it though.

Hope they also fix fighters hanging when attacking (or being attacked by), I think, scouts.
