Eurogames performance analysis
All seems rather positive even if they have taken a slight step back content wise!

I'd like to like that game, but for those damned controls...

Ive got it and its ok but then again I'm not a Assassins Creed fan,to be honest after 2 hours i went back and started playing Far Cry 4 Or MGS5.
Im looking forward to the Fallout and new Tomb raider game in a few weeks and i may even treat myself to a new Xbox One Elite controller.
Ok Swanny i will treat myself to that controller I'm not one for waiting on a price reduction now am i ?

Talking of treats Me and Killa have been looking at a gaming rig for me. Nearly bought one today but it got away.
Soon I shall join the real gaming community and leave the kiddies to their consoles

Have been playing the game, found a few bugs- got off a carriage that pinned me next to a wal ended up de-synchronizing. The best one has to be going into cover on a bush and then falling through the ground.
Once you get a few upgrades it becomes quite easy- though its not hard to conquer a few areas just using stealth kills.

Nope not yet. My gaming rig is ancient
Playing consoles is where you burn money I'm getting BLOPS 3 on my PS4 and I'll get everything else that I want to play co op on PS4 too.
I love the visuals on my new rig, but as Timey has always said, everything is a bit of a flaff on PC. Even just setting your wireless headphones up, or having to flit between Steam and Origin to play a different title. They each have particular places in my spare time.
Just need to find some time to jump on to the PC version of Project Cars. I have very little of it at the moment, so banger racing in Wreckfest gets preference, as depth is not the point to that game!
I wouldn't sell my PS4 if I were you Swanny, but I'm guessing you might be thinking about it?

I won't be selling my PS4
It will still be sitting next to my PS3 for many a day

I didn't even realise this had been released, I had it in my head that it was November! I might try and pick it up this week, I need something to play until the big games come out in Nov.
I absolutely love the AC games but Unity was shocking so it dislodged my belief in the franchise. I feel like they bring way too many of them out now and the gameplay is getting a little bit boring. It's always way too easy too, I wish you could increase the difficulty on them. That being said, it'll kill some time for a couple of weeks so I may as well try it, it'll be nice to see ye olde London.

unity was a major mess, I would stay well away from pre ordering this.
Even that review was pointing out bad glitches but gave it a overall good rating due to the fact it was simply much more stable than unity.

Bought this yesterday and I am really enjoying it so far. There have been some good tweaks to the gameplay which I really like and graphically it is stunning. Should keep me busy until Tomb Raider & Battlefront come out
I'm not too sure about the way it shows you enemies at the moment though, the little circle that lights up around you. I find it quite difficult to tell what's going on with it sometimes.

Stunning is not a word i would use for this game either....

I say it how it is my friend, personally we should know what a good game looks like in the next week or so,well i know Rise of the Tomb raider will knock my socks of and Fallout 4 just in the immense scale and what the game offers should give me a similar feeling..
What do you think of my decision to cancel Fallout 4 on Playstation 4 and get it on the Xbox One instead.
|
|
|
The fact that you spent £150 on a controller for the Xbox is a good enough reason to use that console more and the fact that Fallout 4 is said to run @1080p 30fps on both consoles give neither console the edge so it's a 50/50 when it comes to console choice.
But like I said, spend all that on a controller you better [censored] well use it

Never a a finer way to put your point across I agree thats a vast amount of money to spend on a controller and deserves to get some serious use.
Tell you one thing matey when i downloaded the Elite App it was mind blowing what you can do with this controller and i will say now that some of it may be a little confusing for poor Timey.
40 years ago when i was into PC Gaming i used to have one of those Nostromo game pads that you could program load outs for and that was as confusing as ever and took me literally weeks to get used to with all the pre/sets i made for different games and remembering the load outs .

Tomb Raider will be brilliant, I just hope the tombs are more challenging this time round as they were really easy on the last one! The graphics were fantastic though and some of the set pieces were really good.
I'm going to get Fallout, but it's the game I am least looking forward to over the next couple of months. Only reason why is that I find it a bit like Elder Scrolls, there are a lot of NPC's to talk to and there are A LOT of skill tree options and I find it a little bit daunting sometimes. I wasn't much of a fan of Fallout 3, in fact I gave up on it about half way through. But I am hopeful that they have made the gameplay a little smoother on this one and with it being on next gen I think it may feel a bit better.
I think I will enjoy Just Cause 3 more than Fallout.

Couldn't agree more,i hate to much dialogue in games and this Fallout looks like it has a hell of a lot but its a must have game.
Given that the developers say that some of there testers have put 200 hours into the game and still not seen and done everything i kind of doubt i will ever finish it.
Every bit of your post i actually agree with........Thats a first
Zombies this Friday but like you i think Just Cause 3 and Rise of the tomb raider will give me most of my gaming fixes.
I get bored when you can spend 30 minutes or more just designing your character and generally end up going for a preset configuration.
Seriously i don't care about what size my nose is,what colour my hair is and all that trivia that means absolutely nothing.

I've taken a break from the forums for a few months and I come back and you're agreeing with me! It's like the Twilight Zone hehe just kidding
Yea I thought you would think the same to be honest as I know things like that frustrate you too (all the skill tree options, customisation etc) so I think both of us will probably be disappointed with Fallout, but it looks so gorgeous and they have done a great job advertising so it's got to be bought huh?! fingers crossed it is a good one.
Just Cause 3 though, it looks fab and it just looks like SO much fun. Wingsuits, grapple hooks, big explosions. Great stuff!

Just cause 3 has to be my almost perfect game,i mean whats not to like, massive set pieces ,explosions ,destruction galore and some amazing graphical effects have me well and truly pumped up for this game.
I bought the first 2 games and had a lot of fun with them on the playstation 3 but this game on current generation looks like another league.
Its going to be hard to decide what to play and when, but i have a feeling i will be very tempted to take the wrapper of Fallout 4 next Tuesday but i may refrain from doing so if the Zombie mode in Black ops lives up to the high expectations i set for a game and the previews generally.
I may just invest my time in Rise Of The Tomb Raider for now if I'm honest,Just cause 3 and Rainbow Six release the 1st of December and hopefully on that day we will be in our new house.
Much packing to do and much to sort out and so many games on the horizon that look exciting.
I don't think Fallout 4 will disappoint us Jaxx but we may find the menu and skill trees and the dialogue a little bit boring.
I buy Fallout 4 for the action sequences and slow motion kills, thats what i love about the Vax system.
Oh it has a German Shepherd dog as your side kick which has to be fun, especially since in real life i had 2 at one time and will be getting a Puppy again after Crimbo .

Hardened edition next one from basic at about £65 at Shopto. I don't think I'll be bothering at that price! I'll get I as DLC later if it turns out to be worth it.
I'd rather buy it on PC and PS4 for that!

Yeah I much prefer to choose a character and get going!!!
