The game I'd love to love.
I was looking at trying a vpn tonight, coincidentally. PureVPN looks interesting. £9.95 for one month and I get to see if it helps my connection. If it does, 24 months for £2.08 a month.
Been saying I'm going to try it for months, but just need to get around to it!

I'm hoping it can help establish the reason for my constant delay in games. I found a max ping setting in the Steam control panel yesterday. Set it to 250ms max (the lowest range) from 3000ms.
I don't see many players above 250ms ping on the in game leaderboard, but then it won't show the spikes. Will be trying out Titanfall to see if it's made a difference.

Do you ever think may be its not what you think and your just a grumpy old git . and not as good as you was in your younger days ,reflexes no match for a teenagers ,things like that, that's more like the reason I can not be bothered with COD games and the Tenny bopper market they appeal to .

No, because it isn't.
It's unequivocal, well documented and apparent only to the people that experience it. I could post you ten videos a day of how it manifests, but you'll always find a reason to poo poo it.
As Digital foundry explained (and I've linked to before) those people who don't get it, don't "get it".
But that's netcode, so you have to learn how to play the system. Which is my plan.

Then its worth you subscribing to a VPN service and it would be the first thing i would have done years ago.

I was on the cusp of buying a router with pre installed firmware, but I didn't want to inhibit my download speed overall, what with four other people streaming in the house.
Without that, it's really long winded, having to connect your console to your laptop by proxy each time blah blah blah.
But now I've got a gaming rig as well, I can test it out much more easily. Just need to pull my finger out.

I can't imagine that it will make any difference making changes in the Steam control panel mate seeing as Titanfall uses Origin
