Mad Max

Brilliant game I'm surprised it never got talked about here.
It's basically FarCry set in the desert.
Has balloons instead of towers. Loads of kit and vehicle upgrades to keep you busy
No animals which isn't good for the big white hunter know as Nelly the knife.

I know Kila's played and finished it but haven't heard anyone else talking about it.
I bought it on steam for not a lot

Yes it bored me to death after 60 minutes,like most games the past 12/18 months...

Think its time to take up Rambling

Yes mate, a DS4. Wired though, not wireless.

Struggling with the first sentry tower though. Couldn't make the harpoon work on it or find a way around the back, so I gave up and made a video instead!

Is there a way that I might have switched weapons on my car by accident?

Yea they are great

You have to select the harpoon. (It's the D pad.) Then line up with the X and press fire

Took me a while to find the sideburners

Harpoon is great, I like to tow a dead body behind the car

It's a lot easier to drive in third person mode, but it looks sooooo much nicer from in car.

If I had a faster connection I probably would have downloaded it this evening, but 33Gb on a 6 meg connection is going to take a while!

Its not that good Swanny Just cause 3 is better by the same developer and more explosive.

To me, it's like Rage done properly and with a back story and character that everybody (of our age at least) can relate to.

I will give JC3 a go at some point, other than my original vehicle testing session.

I really don't like the grappling/parachute mechanic for getting across the countryside though. It feels too much like a Spider man game mechanic; weird in this context. I'll stick to driving/flying when I do get round to giving it a proper go. And blowing stuff up of course.

This should keep me busy until No Mans Sky drops.

I downloaded it and got bored after 20 minutes and started playing Red Dead Redemption instead on the Xbox one.

Im really hyped for this but i am a tad worried that given its Gazillion Planets and exploration based gameplay that it will go way over my head and it may well become either a classic with addictive gameplay or a game i get frustrated and bored with quickly,I'm hoping the former ?

Yeah I hope it's as good as it looks but am also worried about it becoming boring or repetitive, after all there won't be a story will there ? The only aim so to speak is to reach the centre of the universe.

Which could take 10 years

How far you got in this game now? there is so much to do I hope I will get through it all. Mostly been in Jeets territory, got threat level down to under 1. will probably move on with story into other places now.

I'm nearly at the end. I didn't bother with the story too much to begin with but if I replayed it I'd do the story first I think

Is that because you would have better abilities/weapons etc do do all the side missions?

Just had a look at a list of story missions and I am about half way through, which is surprising, thought it there would have been a lot more. So much other stuff to do though so all good.

Just for the upgrades on the car really. Max improves without doing the main story
I don't bother with the archangel cars, can't see any point in them

I'm at 61 hours now. I think I'm about to meet Mr Ballbag

How do I find the play time? Had a look in the stats but couldn't find it.

You finished the story yet? just done the Immortal enemy mission, found the race difficult specially before I realised the thunderpoon was unlimited =/ loved the cut scene at the end of the mission. such a great game
