The Crash Map
The time when a online Multiplayer fps felt fresh and a joy to play, will it feel the same nearly a decade later and a decade older, probably not but to me its worth the investment as i crave a really good addictive online game once again.

Check out the difference.
I think even been 9 years old this is going to be the top shooter of 2016 without doubt in my eyes, even out doing Battlefield 1.

I hope you're right but if this is true then it will be rubbish
I hope people realize that in CoD4 MW Remastered:
1) There will not be any public server files - just matchmaking controlled by Activi$ion.
2) Limited maps and no mods.
3) It is very very expensive, considering IW will be pants! Effectively, you will be buying again as new!
Activi$ion is attempting to kill the CoD4 community which still provide a lot of free to play servers, 9 years after release and despite unsupported PB. Why? Because the old CoD4 is still the best CoD. And that is why Activi$ion is trying to bank on it again.
Let's hope people can see through this and stay with the old one. The new one will have a few hours life until the novelty/nostalgia wears off.
Wait for the reviews, people!

All 16 maps will be available,10 at launch and the other 6 before Christmas so i don't see any issues of what we all know was and still is one if the best online FPS on the market even by todays standards...........
I don't care I'm buying it regardless of the cost, yes we all know it will be out as a standalone at some point, but i don't see that happening until after Christmas, besides when i think about it i would have probably bought the new Cod for Zombie mode regardless.....
So really I'm not paying much more .

He is basically talking about the PC version and i don't do PC and punk buster

How do you know he's talking about PC?
|
|
|
|
Because when have you ever heard of dedicated servers on Cod Mw and when have consoles ever used such programs as Punkbuster.

Yes, I was referring to the PC version. Except maybe PB - all points stand though. I personally don't play any FPS on console when PC gameplay is so much better. So I guess my worry is that the remastered version will be neutered for consoles. Hopefully the PC community will not be phased by this pointless disruption. The console versions never have dedicated servers though, so I thought it was obvious I was talking about the PC one.

"New chap" - LOL!
I registered here many years ago, when it was called ADSLguide.org.uk...
I see this is more of a console forum now... Eh well.
Cheers!

You don't like Consoles then

Nothing wrong with consoles. Just not my preference, especially for FPS games. I had one for a while, but it just gathered dust so I gave it away. Driving games were fun on it... until I decided it needed a steering wheel. That was the end of it. I hoped the next PS would have a 4K DVD player - I would have considered one. But not now.

You never know what a Firmware update can do I'm not personally interested if it has a 4K player or not,on a personal level i much prefer to buy a stand alone 4k Player if I'm honest.
It should all be about the Games and not what secondary items are added, its a bit like the backward Compatibility arguments,ok i love Gears 3 for Horde Mode on Xbox One but then again i don't want to be playing games from a decade ago i want games that literally have immense gameplay and blow me away in the graphical department, playing older games in general from the 360 days isn't something that seriously worries me,you upgrade because you expect to see greater things ,not to play games that you owned on a previous console,if thats what you want then keep your previous equipment .

I don't want to play old games - I never said that. I just said I don't like playing FPS on a console - regardless of when they were released. And the 4K player is a 'nice to have' that may have helped the decision. Even more, on PC, I avoid games that have been 'consolised' - like CoD - any since CoD4, BF4 etc. Removal of features/movement, the rotating weapon pickers, lack of public servers, I found all that frustrating, major steps backward, fueled only by seasonal profit.
In terms of upgrading - for me that only applies to PC. I would not buy the next gen console as soon as is released - I don't play enough games on it to justify it. A new feature may convince me to get a new console, however that is not the case at the moment.
I hardly have enough time to play my PC games

I know you didn't say that i was just stating some facts about the many moans and groans of gamers when they upgrade and buy next generation consoles, they seem to want to go back in time and play there older games on the new equipment,i get it slightly but is it really that important ?

i much prefer to buy a stand alone 4k Player if I'm honest. Me too. I don't want the whole family watching on my gaming TV.
I don't even want them crossing the gaming line, into the gaming zone, at the gaming end of the lounge.
