So whats so special about this Swanny as I'm intrigued ,is it just one new map, what does it add to the experience and what does it change in terms of Battlefield 1.

Are people looking forward to this because of lack of content and maps or what ?

I dont know as i have invested very little in this game online as i got sick to death of been killed every 20 seconds when i was advancing by Snipers tongue

It's one map and a major overhaul of the weapons with a balance patch. The A10 Hunter shotgun has had a quite big nerf, Martini-Henry has had a nerf as well as has the Hellriegel, They are still decent but nowhere near as good as they were. (A lot of other changes as well but these were the guns I wanted or had)

Not sure where you are getting killed by snipers every 20 secs but I rarely get killed by snipers (no more than other weapons anyway), If I am getting shot at by a sniper then all I do is just strafe from side to side and 90% of them can't hit me.

I find high ranking tank [censored] a lot more annoying than snipers.
In BF1 you don't have to play a crazzy amount to unlock the best guns either as all weapons apart from the 4 level 10 ones are unlocked and able to purchase by the relevant classes level 3 so its only takes a few hours to be able to unlock all the guns bar the 4 level 10 ones and the Hellriegel is really the only one that's worth getting at the mo and even then the MP18 (default gun) and Automatico kill easier at closer ranges.

Not sure how long it's been there as well but I've noticed that Battlefieldtracker has Infantry KD as well now which makes very interesting reading and what I've always suspected.

My overall KD is 1.64 and I'm in the top 44% of people which seemed crazy to me as at the end of the rounds not many go positive.
It's then I check the Infantry only KD (so vehicle kills etc not included) and it's 1.62 but now I'm in the top 10% of people.

A mate of mine has a overall KD of 0.67 and he is ranked in the top 98% of people so only 2% have a worse overall KD than him BUT his infantry KD is 0.67 as well but now he is in the top 27% of people so 73% of people are worse than him on foot only.
So he goes from what looks like one of the worst players in the game to actually one of the best (KD wise) without vehicles. That goes to show how many people are vehicle [censored] and/or that vehicles are OP IMO.

I thought the Hellriegel had been nerfed, came up against the MP18 in close quarters a few times last night and lost frown

I agree about the vehicles, unless you work together with someone else it's really hard to take them out although I did get quite a few mine kills last night.

I check my stats here https://battlefieldtracker.com/bf1/profile/psn/SwannyMX
My KD is 1.02

You don't spend enough time playing a game to really get into it

Well when i first started playing it on a map with a Train myself and my mate were constantly shot by snipers, think it was the beta to be honest, at first i thought it was brilliant but quickly tired of it and moved on to other games i much prefer.

Think I'm more happy wrapped up in a single player game if I'm honest, as long as it holds my attention and is decent.

OK that makes more sense now as that's an open map with quite a few tall buildings by flags that people used to like sniping from, Also in the Beta I'm guessing every man and his dog tried the Beta and it seemed that 75%+ of people were snipers.
As it's quite an open map that still has a fair few snipers but a lot less than what I saw in the beta and 90% of the time snipers hang out in the same few spots so it's easy to keep an eye out for them. Personally I like sniping on that map but I like to be an aggressive sniper and so am on the run to different flags with my Gewehr 95 instead of just lying in wait at one spot (I'd be bored as feck doing that).
Some of the other maps are more of a close quarters map (Argonne Forest being 1) and you can count on one hand in total the number of snipers on that map and it's basically what I would consider a classic COD style map.

Picking your class is key tho for each map (even what part of a map you're planning on going), Take for instance flags A and B on Argonne the routes between the 2 are close quarters and so someone using a shotgun or SMG (both assault class) are going to have an advantage over all the other classes on those flags so if I'm going to those flags then it's assault time even tho the map has no vehicles, Flag C, D and E are a little more open so if you can maintain range then the medic guns have a slight advantage here.
Where as the map from the Beta (I forget the name) is more open so I tend to either run with my sniper rifle or my medic class as both offer guns with better accuracy at longer ranges than the other classes, Although this changes if (more like when) the enemy tanks start dominating the map and then I change to assault to take them out and then I change back to medic/sniper.
