Glad you got it working in the end!
It is a great game...

Found he problem by pure trial and error. Simply had to turn off the Virtual Super Resolution setting in the Crimson menu, that I had been experimenting with on Project Cars!

I found that neither it nor R.A.G.E current work with the latest AMD drivers (just won't start), so hope you have nVidia

Could be a Vulkan issue?
The Solution for me was to Uninstall all Vulkan Drivers I had and just installed The Khronos Group's Sites Vulkan 1.0.17.0 SDK
It also solved my issues with Wolfenstein.
(I am using Windows Creators Update and the Latest Radeon Drivers) RX 480 Ryzen 5 1600.
Or Nvidia users:
I had black screen at launch.
Solution
1.Downlaod the latest driver for your PC
2.Uninstall drivers with DDU (will auto reboot)
3.Reinstall drivers maually
Worked for me. I am using Nvidia drivers.
I haven't actually booted the PC for well over a week, so fingers crossed...

So a retrograde for the Vulkan drivers !? The odd thing is Wolfenstein doesn't use Vulkan (if it works)...
Dunno. You can usually take most people's "fixes" with a pinch of salt. They mess around half the time, never really knowing what they did, and then tell the whole world what they think they did! But hey, we've all been there.
I noticed that there are two different vulkan driver sets installed on my rig today. Not going to fiddle while I don't have a problem though.

Just put a few hours into this game and think its fantastic so far don't know how I missed this when it came out. absolute steal at £9.99.
It is good game. Better not spoil it, but the train section is... quite unsettling..
The only game I know of that uses Vulkan is DOOM (and seems to give a better performance than OpenGL).
Its a shame that it's Bethesda's older games that cause the problem - even more annoying is they probably wont update their programs either...
If you mean the train to Berlin then I have passed that. do you mean the card game? there was another bit that surprised me but I wouldn't call it unsettling

Yes, was talking about the card game... Have you tried grabbing the gun too ?

No didn't try that because I thought it wasn't a winnable situation, I tried to pick the best cards but soon realized it made no sense haha
So is it worth replaying and grabbing the gun ?
Nope - I wont say what happens, but lets just say the outcome isn't good - for you...
yeah thought as much

I don't know whether mrnelster has reached that part, otherwise I could point to a video about it...
I haven't yet!
Ok, I will look it up.
Put 7 hours into Wolfenstein yesterday and I am absolutely loving it, one of the best FPS or games even that I have played. Hard to stop playing
It is - its also one of the few games where the end-end-of-level (game) boss fight does feel fair

It is good game. Better not spoil it, but the train section is... quite unsettling.. I'd settle down with her as many times as she likes.
Joking aside, I know what you meant. I clocked the Aryan cues from the cards, and picked opposingly on my second attempt.
First attempt, I went for the gun - obviously...

Just put a few hours into this game and think its fantastic so far don't know how I missed this when it came out. absolute steal at £9.99. Got a quick hours play in today, before the peace and quiet ended with the kids bickering amongst themselves.
Couldn't get the mouse set up to work on pc though, so stuck with the controller for the time being.

Who wouldn't ?
The whole premise of the game is, in itself, not particularly pleasant - we have to be thankful that the Germans weren't as technologically advanced and never activated their nuclear program...

Aww - accuracy might be a problem then

You might have already tried this, but it can't hurt to post it anyway.
Re: Updating to latest AMD 17.4.2 driver removes CS:GO Blackbars and doesnt allow to start Wolfenstein the New Order

Hi
Yes.
I did it in this order:
- Download 16.6 driver for RX480
- Download Display Driver Uninstaller
- Start DDU Uninstall Current AMD drivers
-After Reboot Install 16.6 and remove the tickle at "Search for Updates" (or so)
done

Yes, saw that. Deleted the games now (and R.A.G.E) though...

Just completed the game (22 hours), absolutely brilliant from start to finish think I will get Old Blood sometime but probably play a different game first.
The Old Blood is a bit shorter (although possibly a bit harder)...
I've been playing this evening. Just finished saving the illuminati type geezer from the prison.
Man, how much fun is it driving one of those big robo walkers!
Yeah that is awesome
New Order was hard enough for me
Dealing with Deathshead was... fun, wasn't it ?
