Tokyo Dark

Drawn in by the excellent music, I decided to get this. Havent played a Point and Click adventure since the penultimate episode of Broken Sword, so it was good to play one again.

Not normally a fan of Japanese animation, but the cut scenes aren't too badly animate, and your own movement is nicely done.

Just finished this now - it's a very good game in the style of Broken Sword, but with less humour, puzzles and more horror - also don't expect particularly happy endings either...

My first ending was rather melancholy...

Judging the an end-of-credit scene at the end, there is a possibility of a sequel...

It's certainly not a forgettable game - one interesting aspect is you can start again, and the various characters will remember you from the previous game...

If you think it is all horror and gore all the way through, there are a few "lighter" moments :

Detective Ito has a thing about cats... and cakes...

...and octopus...

and, of course, the title screen (this is after completing the game the first time). Considering the amount of cakes that Ito can eat, its amazing she is so thin...

I did mention that people state that they remember you after completing the game the first time - it does become rather of a significant plot point further in the game...

Finally got the last achievement (and thus the last ending for it) - it is probably one of the sadder endings amongst the 11 (which is saying something).
