Project Cars 2

Rallycross is soooo much fun, especially when its slippy.

Winner winner, chicken dinner... Almost binned it on the finish line mind!

Force feedback has [IMHO] improved from the original and feels way better than GT Sport Rallycross.

Picked up Dirt Rally for £11.99 on the playstation store at the weekend. Absolute bargain and it looks great on the PS4 Pro in 4k.

Its hard.....very hard. It makes Project Cars feel easy in comparison. Ive decided to play it right from the off with no map or on screen displays at all, other than the dashboard gear indicator. Just the co-drivers voice. It not only gives you a more realistic look, it in fact teaches you to judge the speed via the gears and the rev range.

This 1970s Escort is a beast of a rear wheel drive rally car and is almost impossible to tame without traction control when you first jump into it. After a couple of spins and a near roll right at the end (an extremely fortunate outcome!) I started to get the speed up. I actually followed that with two completely clean stages, but wheres the fun in videos like that. smile

Tip: traction control reduces your acceleration dramatically on gravel, as you need wheel spin to cut through it to the firm surface below for grip. It leads to some real tank-slappers though!

At one point in the 70s the Mini was incredibly difficult beat. It made up for its lack of power with its stubby agility.

I survived a real moment right near the end again! smile

Mini, night stage.
