Aside from playing Afterburner and G-Loc in the arcades, the last only-flying game I played was on the C64 with Project Steath Bomber (I cost the American government a lot of time and money by ejecting instead of landing the thing), so, as it was nice and cheap, I decided to get Vertical Strike Endless Challenge.
It's basic, but fairly good fun.
