Tempted.

Someone lent me God of War. It�s an amazing game, but hack and slash isn�t my number one genre. I�m not drawn to it every night by any means, so might be giving it back tomorrow.

I was waiting for BFV to be honest. Does Red Dead have an online element like the original?

I seem to remember tescos selling horse meat not long ago, maybe the two are connected

Played it for a few hours yesterday
My review is that's it's Ok

Nowhere near as good as I was expecting, if I'd have known I would have waited for the price drop

My advice is don't rush out to buy it

Red Dead Redemption 2 struggles to find a place for you as it tells its own story; the main missions stick too rigidly to the aging template of heading out to a point while characters chat amongst themselves, and when you get there, too often all you're allowed to do is perform a handful of quick-time events and engage in the inevitable shootout.

IMO UC4 is a much better game and it's definitely more fun to play. This game seems pretty boring so far

Maybe rdr2 will grow on me.... :/

Thanks for the heads up mate. I didn�t much like the controls in the the first game, so it�s a pity they haven�t improved.

I�m sure it will grow on you, bit I�ll take your advice and give it a miss for the time being.

I did about 5 hours last night. It's not a fun game it's just a something to do game
I should have bought Assassin's Creed Odyssey instead of this.

I'm trying my hardest to enjoy it but I feel I'm forcing myself to play it!!
I have to say it does become more immersive the more you progress, as for the controls I wasn't expecting anything other from Rockstar, it's no different to the first and GTA.

I generally get rid of any games that you have to force yourself to play - it's just not worth your time (or effort), and you would never really enjoy it later on anyway

A couple of suggestions to improve the controls. Toggle to run is something I always set when it�s an option in game, to save my thumb and avoid controller wear.

That aside, I bet it looks good on the X though.

Yeah I've changed to toggle to run setting, my mate has also pointed out that if you set a waypoint you can actually auto ride to your destination with no controller interaction which I'll give a go next time on it.
It looks amazing mate, as does Forza Horizon 4, which I would highly recommend with it being a play anywhere title that plays fantastically on PC too!!

I did the treasure maps and found some gold bars
Took them to Jimmy the fence and now I have loads-a-money which means I can now fast travel

Been watching a couple of Forza 4 videos and I think that�s a definite for me next month. Looks great, good shout mate.

A bit of a cheat I know but I would never have found this without being told about it and I need to clear the $300 bounty on my head from bustin that bloke out of prison in Strawberry. Dang varmit

Just have to hope to don't meet any NPC's thinking the same thing...

Go to the Sheriff�s office in Limpany, a burnt out town. Limpany is directly South of Caliban�s Seat and just North of Flatneck Station. It is very close to your base camp at Horseshoe Overlook.

Thought it's a pretty good game but it's way overhyped although in 4k it looks amazing. The controls are [censored] awful for a shooter tho and feel like the first one 8 years ago. Also they appear to have amazing forensics as it seems if you kill someone (and leave no witnesses) if and when the body is found then a bounty gets placed on your head.
I swear you can pretty much get a bounty in a town for just bumping into a dog LOL.

It wasn't called the Wild West for nothing !

People are [censored] too, just bumping into someone [censored] them off enough for them to pull their gun and shoot at you leaving you no choice but to return fire, then a witness sees this and calls it murder which means you have to kill him to stop him reporting you.

LOL I know I've had exactly that happen out in the open, I've then had 1 person witness me killing the guy so try to report me so I've killed him as well (so no witnesses left) and yet I still get a bounty when a random NPC finds the body down the line.
I actually thought I had missed a witness the first few times but then i saw a stream where a guy does the above and then goes quite far away from the guys he's killed and perch on the side of a cliff and look through his binoculars at the bodys and as soon as a NPC found the body BOOM Bounty added.

At this rate, I'm just going to buy up all the ammo and just shoot out the whole town leaving it a ghost town and be done with it.

I went down to the city, jumped off my horse and grabbed somebody by the throat, luckily I managed to let them go before I killed them but it meant I was wanted for assault and the trapped wouldn't deal with me :/

Thought I was missing out on this game as not being on PC yet but don't feel so bad now. In fairness, it was super hyped which is hard to live up to. Hope it improves as you play through.

I'm 49% through now. It's ok, not a great game just ok
