Internet recommendation for the Xbone is 1.5 up and down . I would imagine most ADSL2+ connection will just about do .
For basic gaming yes. Any meaningful cloud computation functionality may require more and will definitely require decent latency.

Gaikai Are a subscription service and there really is no guarantee it will even make it to any other territory out side of the USA .

And if it does its not going to be next year , 2015 if your lucky I mean thier not even saying what quarter its going live in the USA .

Microsoft have been busy building thier infrastructure for their cloud well before they announced it . you can't just magic that type of investment over night .

Its a big deal its the future and a little less back slapping between you PS4 dudes and a little more debate on this forum you might actually understand how big a game changer this could possibly be .

Gaikai was bought and is owned by Sony so what you mean by a subscription service is anybody's guess

Sony bought Gaikai last year for $380 million so I think given that amount of money they will be using it in Europe which is a huge market for them. Gaikai were established in 2008 so obviously they already have a lot of expertise and infrastructure so it's not like Sony are starting from scratch.

Well you are because you are singing the praises of Microsoft which is rare indeed especially after there reveal .

Don't trust Microsoft fully because once they have a user install base there is nothing stopping them from reverting to there original plans and DRM .

no they don't have any kind of cloud service . Gaikai is not confirmed and will not be a service you can use for a while yet , if at all .
I think you have gotten confused. Streaming games in HD has a far greater bandwidth cost than anything "cloud computing" is likely to require. Without superfast connections cloud computing has little or nothing to offer for the foreseeable future, whatever Respawn may be being paid to blather on about.

Sony paid half a billion quid for Gaikai because they were probably the most technically advanced of all the cloud gaming start ups.

Cloud computing is an MS marketing ruse aimed at gullible 16 year olds.

What the console looks like is purely an objective thing
Subjective.

That wouldn't surprise me. It's likely the main reason MS are using cloud computing is to combat piracy as if you can't connect to their servers then your game doesn't work.
