ADSL MAX line rate

[link to this post]

Hi

First post.

I've had to transfer to MAX with F2S as I have moved house. Was very happy with my solid 2mb line before, but apparently I have to now move over to MAX

According to availability checkers I should be able to get up to 2.5mbs.
The first night my new line was activated, I was indeed getting these speeds.

I have now dropped to a constant 120kbps due to their aggressive traffic shaping/throttling.

My question is: Will this effect the line rate that is established during the first 10 days ? As I cannot get any quicker speeds because of being so heavily throttled.

MAC is on it's way. Would also welcome suggestions for a good ISP that doesn't heavily throttle/shape ...

Thanks ...

the line rate works from the modem sync speed, not your throughput.

MaxDSL speeds - what do they all mean.
