With the BT speedtest did you also use the test login as well?

i just followed the instructions given by the isp technical assisstant on the phone.i dont know anything about a test login .the lady gave me a username to connect to the internet with and to disregard my password.i had to run the test three times over a 24 hour period .but there seems too much of a difference in the adsl guide and the bt speed test.and my downloading is still slow .paint dries quicker.

Ok this username will have been the test login I was talking about. Using this bypasses the providers own network, and shows the problem is not your kit or line or exchange, but more likely to be an ISP side issue
