BBand on old number

[link to this post]

Hi,

we moved from Cumbria to Suffolk in May and being a little bit sad I thought I would look up what our old number was capable of on Max, I had a rock solid 1mb connection with AOL in Cumbria, now the BT checker is showing the following:

Sorry Broadband is not available on that number

For Telephone Number 01539****** on Exchange NEWBY BRIDGE

Your exchange has ADSL broadband.

However, despite an engineer's visit to your premises it has been proved not possible for your telephone line to support broadband service. Please accept our apologies. We are continuing to look for alternative technology solutions and this site will be updated with developments as they happen.

Bit of a [censored] for the new owners lol

I really should read properly.
I'd read the Suffolk bit, mis-read the broadband, and was just about to post some smart-ass answer about the top speed of a tractor when fully laden with broadbeans!
Silly me.

Hi

we are near Brantham and my speed is great using the mighty AOL, well it was great until the Craphone Whorehouse took us over. I usually average around 700kb/s morning noon and night, oo arrr to you too.
