Line length from exchange

[link to this post]

On the BT wholesale checker is says my line length from the exchange is quite long so i should only get 1Mbps. My question is will BT ever upgrade this exchange or implement another exchange closer to my location. Also how can i contact BT to forward my suggestion. Many thanks.

at some point hardware may come closer to you, but it won't be an exchange. The checker is conservative and quotes two speeds - fixed speed and MaxDSL variable speed, both of which are usually conservative.

If you have a service your attenuation and noise margin are better indicators - see link in sig below.
