But he doesn't know what he's talking about!

"While he said that the government had no interest in "hounding 14-year-olds who shared music", it was intent on tracking down those who made multiple copies for profit."

One wonders what the BBC have recently been paid to report this complete and utter sack of you know what......

Quick ban the internet, ban wifi, ban file sharing, ban emailing ban it all.... quick, quick, quick, its all illegal a fat bod in a suit from the record industry told me, so it must be true :-$

You have to laugh at his title though...
Lord Triesman, the parliamentary Under Secretary for Innovation, Universities and Skills

"Innovation" LMFAO i dont think the guy would know innovation if it slapped him full force in the face and errrrrr has he ever been to a university...... whats he think kids there are doing with there internet connection, buying music on itunes to listen to on the totally legal innovative mp3 players.... fool

As for "We have some simple choices to make. If creative artists can't earn a living as a result of the work they produce, then we will kill off creative artists and that would be a tragedy."

Would that be the same "creative" film industry in hollywood that bring us sequel after sequel of boring pap over hyped films??????

Presumably if that's the case then what would be the point of getting them illegally if they are so rubbish. Might as well save yourself some time and not watch them in the first place.

If a film is good enough to watch via an illegal rip off then surely they should pay for it. If it's not good enough then don't get the ripped version.

Films are overpriced but I don't decide to nick a Ferrari because I don't want to pay market value for one.

I do not use p2p and if I want to watch a film or listen to a song then I either buy it or borrow it. I don't rip anything I don't own and I don't share anything I've ripped with others. If I can't afford it then I don't buy it. If it's pap then I don't bother with it at all.

If you wanted to not come across as a loon I think you've failed in that post.

Nothing wrong with picking apart what people say about subjects, but if people see what look to be lengthy rants they are likely to stop reading and miss any useful points that may appear later.

It's worse in America, where the MIAA has actually banned people from posting YouTube videos where they show how to play copyright tunes on the guitar! Oh no, if people play music on the guitar, they won't bother going out to buy real music!
