BT Midband

Can't improve on 127Kbps downstream. Are BT still using their Midband system and passing it off as Broadband ?

midband was a home highway product whereby you could channel bond the 2 isdn channels, it has now been removed from bt's portfolio of products, though you could still get an isdn 2e and bond the 2 channels giving you a speed of 128kb, i dont think midband was ever advertised as a broadband related product, could be wrong though.
hope this helps

Line connection speed, and at a guess you may have a low IP Profile that is limiting you.

Mind you post was funny for a Saturday morning.

Thanks Andrew.

Tell me - what difference does a low IP profile make ?

See http://www.dslzoneuk.net/adslmax_explained.php, especially towards the end.
