BT phone services

Does BT Retail buy the phone service off BTW just like the PO, Vodaphone or any other supplier, and just like it buys BTW Broadband services, or does it deal directly with OpenReach for the PSTN side?

Openreach sell Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) services, witness the recent consultation on charges for that and LLU. This will be provided on an equivalence of access basis.

If I read you and the link correctly, my opening question is wrong?

BT Wholesale are not involved at all? BT Retail and the others all deal direct with OpenReach?

Thanks also.

I was confused by the term Wholesale Line Rental and assumed that meant a BTW service. But that's what shows on the OpenReach page yarwell gave me.

A lot of people dont inderstand Openreach provide their products and services wholesale to CP's , including BT Wholesale!
