Leased line in residential property?

Anyone know of any reason why it would not be possible to have a leased line installed into a residential property?

I have not tried to purchase one yet, but just checking if it is possible or not?

That would not be an obstacle to a leased line from BT, though the specific location and type of leased line required may mean there are technical reasons a service cannot be supplied .
Cant be sure about providers other than BT

Try speaking to EntaNet they quoted me half the price of BT for the same Leased Line service.

No reason why not...but depending on the line speed and the presentation (copper or fibre) there may be excess engineering charges required to get the cable to your property.

I was recently quoted over half a million pounds by BT to get a fibre to a commercial property in the midlands...they claimed they would have to dig up 8km of roads..!

No problem at all, we have a number of customers that have a leased line into a residential property.

It's paving them with gold afterwards that pushes the price up

£62.50 per metre - a fair bit of that must have been on the verge as ISTR they charge £120/m on highways.

A lot of it would have been soft dig.

I think the price of leased lines is one of the main deterrants... plus the installation fee's which can end up being a couple grand easy.
