ADSL cable for arial lead

I need to find a thin tv aerial cable to run under my carpet and I wondered if it's OK to use BT socket to router type adsl cable for the job, it's only about a 4 metre run and there's no electrical cable near.

You'll need a coaxial cable.

You need cable of the correct impedance to avoid signal loss. Becasue of this, and other electrical characteristics, the cable you mention is not suitable for use with a TV aerial.

I should have made it clear that the extension is from the main aerial wall socket to a freeview box, there will be Co-ax at each end but I need a thin lead in the middle to run under the carpet for about 4 metres.
Co-ax ariel lead is 75 ohm but I don't know what adsl lead is, I realise the adsl lead is not screened.

LOL ironically it would probably work just as poor or good as what he has planned.

Obviously doesnt understand ohm rating, shielding and much more.

I'm sure you can get hold of flat/semi flat coax and if not just go round the top of the skirting or whatever

A wireless video sender kit would be a good solution. Alternatively, you might be able to use a run of 300 ohm flat cable but you would need two 300-to-75 ohm transformers (baluns) to connect it to the co-ax cable.

I have given links to Maplin products. However, Maplin tend to be expensive and you can probably get better prices elsewhere.
