aol broadband grrrrrrrrrr

hi everyone aol broadband put there broadband service on my line without me asking for it. i was with vivaciti broadband llu before all this happen was very happy with the great service.can Aol broadband are saying they wont give me a mac code even no they are on my line.I DONT WANT TO BE WITH AOL THEY R F..KING S..T AND FULL OF OVERSEA CALL CENTRES THAT DONT NO WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

You had no involvement in this at all ? if so it's either a simple error or a case of "slamming" - the latter is the sort of thing OFCOM are on the lookout for.

If you're not and haven't been a paying customer of AOL I can see they may have systems issues giving you a MAC. Any history there ?

Persisting in asking for a MAC, escalate it to a manager / supervisor, then referring it to AOL's complaints handling agency etc and ultimately OFCOM - there's a link on the main site here "how to complain".

Question: How do you know its AOL that has taken over the line?

How sure are you that vivaciti are not using say an Opal wholesale LLU service, and the issue is that Opal have shifted you?

If you're billing is only with Vivaciti - what are they doing to resolve this, i.e. have their chased their wholesaler to see what has happened?

Indeed, that shouted swearing is a bit too far in my opinion.

Strange that Andrew didn't just delete it and suggest a more moderate post.

Instead of apologising for the spelling why not just use a spellchecker?

You need to contact Vivaciti about this anyway, just give them a call and try to be calm

No we have not moved them to opel, or anyone else. We had seen a line cease on our sicde, we requested this be canceled, but went through anyway, we have now done a tag check and can see that the line now has the AOL tag.
There is a little more to this case but can't say without the customers consent (DP)
