Content Industry More Interested In Speed Than Coverage

Apparently it would also be a greater economic stimulus. So says the guy behind Big Brother so take with a pinch of salt smile

I have found a couple of stories about it, anyone know what they are citing?

Probably relating to the idea, that getting 100% coverage means we are slow at getting fast (ideal for video subscription services) out there.

45% at 50Mbps if they want to buy it - seems not bad for 2009.

I suspect someone has confused USC and final third fund (tax), a common thing that I've seen people stumbling on. Nothing stopping USC funding providing 25Meg broadband if that is cheap enough to do.

I would call VM cable a 50mbit service, however adsl I look at typical burst speed as a measure. eg. I consider adsl2+ a 6mbit service and adsl1 a 4mbit service.

What do I consider vdsl? no idea but it should be a very significant boost to typical speeds upwards of 20mbit.
