Is Plusnet owned by Talk Talk now?

Received a call today from Talk Talk saying I had been refferd to them regarding taking phne with my broadband.I told the chappie I had just joined Plusnet and prefered to keep my phone with the Posrt Office.

Then the bombshell - told me Plusnet were now owned by T.T as from last month....
and there were very good deals availlable for me.

Anyone shed any light on this.....

Sounds like complete drivel to me. But obviously they're willing to say anything to get your business.

I'm a long-standing Plusnet customer. They are part of the BT umbrella (but branded separately).

First I've heard of any transfer to Talk Talk, and I think it would have been BIG news here, if it were true.

They're trying it on.

I thought plusnet was a subsidiary of BT ?
Maybe thats changed.

TalkTalk sales have a long history of pretending to be BT and asking punters to 'confirm their details'

Perhaps they have updated the miss selling for the new 'equivalent' age.

IVE CALLED PLUSNET today 28/01/2011 and they have stated NO TALK TALK DO NOT OWN THEM AND NEVER HAVE

PLUSNET is owned by BT and has been for 4yrs.

THATS FROM THIE OWN CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM AND SALES TEAM.
