PPPoE - Some exchanges don't support this?

Hello,

I have a linksys AM200 Modem/router which, at my old premises was setup in half bridge mode and my linux server was using pppd to authenticate and assign my static ip to ppp0

However, when I move premises (Keeping the same ISP - Plusnet) the configuration no longer works. I just keep getting PADO Packet timeout errors.

I always thought it was the ISP that either supported this or not, and all exchanges supported this.

Either way, I have setup the modem to authenticate instead and put the server in the DMZ.
