I've just moved into a house and my sky broadband was activated today, now the router is showing it is synced at 4Mbit with the following line stats:
System Up Time: 00:27:59
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN PPPoA 24192 37664 0 4035 30188 00:27:16
LAN 0 0 0 0 0 00:00:00
WLAN 31958 21035 0 31592 4712 00:21:29
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4095 kbps 605 kbps
Line Attenuation 42.0db 25.1db
Noise Margin 11.1db 16.6db
Now when I do speed tests I get the following:

http://www.speedtest.net/result/953046170.png
This is currently plugged in my master socket with no extensions attached what so ever, the master socket is an old BT 68mm socket which is not compatible with the Iplate.
Here is a google link showing the distance from my exchange:

Now my questions are:
Is this likely to improve as it has literally just been installed today?
Would it be a good idea to replace the master socket with a new master socket such as a NTE5A?
Thanks for all help in advance.
