BT Speedtest Accuracy?

Hi guys, Just a question which has popped into my head...

As you can see by my signature, I have the full speed available for ADSL MAX and is the same for all speedtest sites except for BT's speedtest site.

Has anyone else have a problem with BT's Speedtest site reading lower than what other sites say?

I don't see the question. You give no data except a TBB speed test result.

BT Speedtest site was never meant to be a general speedtest server, so is not scaled to cope with the amount of people who try and use it as a general test device

Speed Down 6851.37 Kbps ( 6.7 Mbps )

@RobertoS - I was just wondering if there was a reason and if anyone else experiences a difference between the BT Speedtest (Being slower) and other sites such as Think Broadband (Correlating with Tbbmeter which says it's maxed out).

What's wrong with that then? It's within 2%. You can't expect exact accuracy between speedtests. Will depend on at least timing, net activity and server loadings

Nothing wrong there, different testing methodologies can lead to perfectly accurate numbers but disagreement between other devices.

As said a 2% difference is neither here nor there
