Australian in Manchester needs broadband plan advice.

[link to this post]

hi all. i'm an australian looking for a broadband deal in manchester. actually probably didsbury or stockport or around that area. does anyoone have any suggestions for the following requirements:
- heavy downloader
- short term contract
- preferably one where i don't have to pay for a phone line?

also, in australia there's no such thing as unlimited plans. are the plans here really "unlimited"?
Thanks for your help!
ps: does anyone know where i can buy an asus g73jw laptop from an actual bricks and morter store in manchester?

Some LLU deals are unlimited, but in general be careful, if your idea of unlimited is under 50GB then nothing to worry about.

If your idea of unlimited is 1TB or more a month then very few low cost options.

An more exact location is needed to give specifics, Virgin Media cable products can satisfy a need for speed if that is your thing. ADSL products can be cheaper but actual speed varies based on precise location.

BE is unlimited. You should search for your exchange on Samknows to see what LLU ISPs are available - e.g. http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/MRDID
