Why was it so high in the first place? should of been 9db or even 6db, the snr getting lower &lower could be just a bug with your router or could be noise /interference,

I have 3 routers and test with them all
When its at 19 i get full upload sync but when it drops to 5 i get 64kbs sync upload
i has been stable at 19 again since Saturday morning so hope it was just a one off

When you've time this is worth a read.

Check the stats from the master BT socket, better still use the TEST socket within it if there is one.

Did it all
Even have the fancy filter face plate and its the same
will go from 19 to 5 and it has killed online gaming for me. the down stream side of things is rock solid, its just the upstream that falls off and am left with 64kbs upload speed.
Now i have had this connection for years with UKSFN and never had a problem with snr.
So that tells me something has gone wrong on the bt side of things

Unplugged all the phones? Swapped microfitlers?

If upstream only affected then a phone or other device connected to the line is most likely

Taken everything off and pluged right to the master socket and was still reporting 5 snr up and 64kbs up then ten mins later all was fine again and back to 19 snr up and max sync up

Fixed
Mixture of bad extension and our phone line going via a very large tree and pulling on the cable
