Test data wanted please!

[link to this post]

I'm fiddling about with an experiment (Top Secret for now smile ), and need dynamic, eager people to assist.

In short, I want your network data! Here's an example of what I want (showing my network data):

>ipconfig

Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . :
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . :
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . :
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection* 6:

Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection* 7:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . :
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . :
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : ::

Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection* 11:

Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

The data that I want is what is returned when you ask DOS (cmd) for an ipconfig. I don't want the IP data. I want the examples of what can be returned. To get this, open a cmd box and type "ipconfig". Once done, right click the window and click "select all", then hit the enter key. This copies the data.

Paste it into your reply, making sure to remove the IP, DNS, IPv6 and any other system-specific (sensitive) data, and be sure to remove any usernames from the paths, such as "C:\Users\Joe Bloggs\ipconfig" at the beginning and "C:\Users\Joe Bloggs\" at the end.

It would also be great if you could post your operating system too, as the experiment needs to be adapted to suit. MAC and Unix users need not bother with their equivalent ipconfigs.

Please help. It's all for the good of the country! wink

Ta!

Don't you hate it that you can't disable sigs? Ha Ha!

No, I don't want the "ipconfig/all" results, as the data returned is too much for what I'm doing. I'm fiddling with a basic program, and want the bare minimum of useful information. "ipconfig" returns just what I'm after. smile

No need to parse the text from an IPCONFIG there are libraries in windows to give you this information

No. I'm saying that the information I want may not be consistent throughout all operating systems, especially for my purposes. I wouldn't know until I get some examples. I'm being thorough.
