Taking ADSL modem on holiday

Newbie question ...
I have rented a holiday cottage in the UK to get away for a week and asked to landlord if the
cottage has broadband.
I have been advised that the cottage has broadband from BT but no ADSL modem.
I also have broadband with BT. If I take my BT modem/router to the cottage and plug it in over there will my broadband work there as at home or is my modem username and password linked to my specific site/telephone line ... ?

An odd situation, since it costs money to have a BT broadband service.
They might mean it has wireless broadband as in an Openzone hotspot that you pay a subscription for.

most BT residential uses generic logins like [email protected] which are portable. Most, not all, and BT Business Broadband is different again.

Last year we rented a holiday cottage in Dorset. It had broadband but via a boosted wifi link to the owner's house nearby. We merely needed to know the network access details. So, although strictly speaking the cottage didn't have a router, it did have internet access.

Just a thought.

As far as I know your modem username/password is linked to your own telephone line.
