Would BE want my business after problems with BT?

Hi

After months of problems with my line I am wanting away from BT with their IP profiling and move to BE.

Would BE want my business as I have a history of slow broadband, hub resetting and phone calls cut off.

Once again during the night my hub reset itself and I am now showing the following stats with an IP profile drop from 2000kbps to 1500kbps.

You will probably be unlucky as Be do not normally take on long lines like yours.

there are members on BE that have longer lines than the OP so that's not always the case it's whether he can sign up based on the info from the BT database that's the problem, the op would only really know if he uses the BE line checker and see if it will give him the option to join or not.

even then due to the BT database being very poor and out of date in regards to the info it has, ( it said i was only capable of 1-2Mb i synced at 4mb with my previous ISP and 5.5Mb with be) the OP could still maybe be able to join if he called CS and see if they can sign him up anyway some members have managed that.

even if he were to join doesn't mean his problems will go away, but that doesn't mean that BE would refuse him because he has some.

I have rang them and they said they can and I will get an estimated speed of 2.5 meg.

If they decided not to which recommended ISP would?

It's the IP profiling I'm sick and tired of with BT as well as the intermittent service.

Good news, they have obviously reduced their requirements a bit, they weren't keen on taking me on and I ended up with a 13Mb/s connection (they estimated less than 2).

Most other ISPs will accept any line length, Be is one of the few that has refused in the past but may not now (as Terranova suggests they may be happy to take longer lines now).

As far as others go there are many, preferably LLU on a long line (avoids BTs profiling system) but it depends on what LLU is available to you.

I am still hopeful of BE and doing away with the landline phone as the whole family have mobiiles

Sorry I realise that. What i meant was doing away with the phone service.

Just need BT to release me from their contract now and get the MAC code.

I see BE do a basic landline with no call package for £9.70
