BT and Imagebam

Is it just me or is imagebam.com not working for those of you on BT Internet?

Well the home page comes up fine on IDNet rather than BT, so the site itself isn't down.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.

Hmm, when I try to load it I get:

Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

For assistance, contact your network support team.

Try a proxy such as http://www.daveproxy.co.uk/ if you need to access the site before BT Broadband recovers.

Ah well, just be a BT Infinity problem as that's what I'm using too.

I can't get Dave's Proxy site to load either.... frown All other sites are working well so I'll not worry about these things too much at the moment. smile

Thanks guys.

May just be a BT DNS issue. You could try opendns or googledns or God knows how many other DNS services.

Don't think it is a BT DNS issue - PingPlotter reports a conversion from name to IP and a good ping trace.

I'm on BT Infinity and it's not working for me. I get the following error:

"Network Error (tcp_error)"

I'm using Google DNS, so it's not a DNS issue.

Another little niggle with Infinity - do you get any other issues such as WebPages not fully loading? Or SpeedTest Port80 failing?

No I can't say I've noticed any other problems with webpages loading and I've just tried the speedtest on port 80 and that worked fine.

Although the thinkbroadband speedtest never gives me the full speed of my line that all the other testers do.

Seems like the IWF have blocked various websites including Imagebam, Megaupload.

BT are working on it now to sort it out:

Now working - it sounds as though the IWF had something to do with it.

Looks as though it is not - back and working. I just wondered as it only seemed to affect Infinity users.
