Is there a Rolls Royce of ADSL Splitters

[link to this post]

I have had a series of annoying disconnections over the past month or so until today, when I contacted O2 and they told me there were 62 drops in 24 hours. We did a fault finding exercise which ended in taking the ADSL V1.0 face plate off the main BT point and using an old splitter. There has been no drops out since.

Which leads to my question. Should I replace it with a particular sort of splitter? i.e. is there a Rolls Royce of splitter plates?

I've always used clarity.it splitters. Can't compare to others, but then I've never had a problem with mine. tonguesmile

Get a new faceplate - Clarity ones are normally quite good.

Historically those from ADSL Nation, faceplate or splitter were highly regarded...

Their products. They made them all work long before anyone else did!

I've used the Clarity ones for some time with no problem. The ADSL Nation ones are active rather than passive filters; whether this was the reason a neighbour had two of them fail, I don't know. They were replaced promptly and without question.

There is a review of some of the faceplate splitters, which you may find helpful.

[EDIT] The BT splitter and the Pressac one sold by Solwise are most likely the same as the ones sold by Clarity. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable could tell us.

YMMV
