Have I been unbundled?

According to Samknows, my exchange (wwsowt) has been unbundled by C&W / Bulldog as of yesterday...

As far as I can tell, C&W and or Bulldog don't provide broadband services directly, but Talktalk are the company you get taken to if you go to Bulldog's website.

I rang Talktalk last week, eager to sign up and finally get a better speed, but they knew nothing and could only sell me their [censored] service which piggy backs on my BT line.

Does anyone know what has happened to my exchange? Am I about to be able to get better broadband? Is C&W/Bulldog unbundling not for residential customers?

Any advice gratefully received.

TalkTalk bought the customers of Bulldog, not the network.

Thus C&W unbundling the exchange is nothing to do with TalkTalk.

If you want to go LLU, then one of the smaller LLU resellers who buy from C&W, or their own ISP Demon is the choice.

There may be others but two ISPs which spring to mind who can provide LLU BB through C&W are Xilo and Vivaciti

Well I got excited for no reason. My exchange still says 31st May, and no one will offer me unbundled broadband, so I guess it's not been done yet.

Such a shame that I can't contact C&W/Bulldog to at least badger them!

And if it is not showing drop us a line and we can check manually.

The database has to be manually enabled for new exchanges which they forget to do. Helpful wink
