cooling off period for second contract

[link to this post]

A few years a go I signed up to Virgin broadband (adsl national) for an 18 month contract. That has passed a long time ago. Recently my router has stopped working, so I called them for a replacement. The only way they would send a new router was is I stayed with them for another six months.

I'm wondering if I made the right decision, or should I have asked for my MAC code. On this new second contract, is there any cooling off period? Or I'm I stuck with it now.

A cooling off period of 7 days from when the supplier sent you written confirmation of your order applies whenever any contact is concluded away from the traders normal business premise, i.e by phone, post or online. A subsequent contact is just as well concluded as a new one.
