Can anyone comment on my broadband variable speed? I am a rural residential customer about 3 miles from the Eckington Exchange [WMECK] within 2.35 miles radius.
My download speed has been low as 1800 kbps; or as high as 2826 Kbps, but of late has reduced to 2300 Kbps. I have noticed that the highs seem to coincide with work done by BT on the line [i.e. replacing poles or providing new customers with broadband etc..]
Is this what a customer should expect? The service at 2800 kbps is stable and acceptable whilst the 2300 seems to be snail speed and is infinitely irritating.
I would be pleased to know if this is to be expected can I do anything about it. I am presently with Newnet a great improvement on my previous supplier Talktalk.
