Disconnections When Uploading Photos

OK, mostly when I try to upload photos to photo printing services, my adsl connection will fall over after uploading a couple of files, and need to be rebooted. After that it gets very tempremental for a while and then settles down again. It may drop and come back on its own a few times, or it may need a further reboot. Uploading single photos at a time is a pain. Has anyone else had this problem, and how do you fix it?

I'm on ADSL Max (BT Option 3) and my router is a Netgear Prosafe DGFV338 with the latest firmware.

Sounds like it's overheating. Try improving the ventilation by standing it on its end, or try a different router.

Nope it's cold to the touch; not that.

Dont have another router to try at the moment; maybe I'll try and find my old DG814

the case may be cool, but the actual modem/driver chip may be getting not. I have come across it before
